Built to bend, built to lastThis is a flexible
LED tape light on a slim printed circuit board with a factory adhesive backing, populated with 5050-format LEDs. Each diode package carries red, green and blue emitters plus a separate white emitter, which is what RGBW means in practice: one strip, four channels, no compromise between colour scenes and everyday white light. The strip is supplied on a reel and can be cut at the marked cut points, so you size each run to the cabinet, the cove or the stair exactly instead of hiding leftover tape behind a valance. The flexible base lets it wrap inside coves, follow curved bulkheads, run along railings and turn corners with a solder joint or a connector.
Technical specificationsSKU: LCLS12V-96W-RGBW40K-IP66
Type: Flexible LED strip, 5050
Colour: RGBW
Input voltage: 12V
Power: 19.2W per metre

Electrical and installation notesBecause it operates at
12V low voltage, the strip needs a dedicated LED driver or power supply sized for the total load of your run: multiply 19.2W by the number of metres you are installing, then choose a driver with comfortable headroom. Colour control comes from an
RGBW controller with a remote, a wall panel or a compatible app/DMX interface placed between the driver and the strip — the controller drives the four channels and lets you dial white separately from colour. Long runs should be fed from both ends or split into shorter sections wired back to the supply to avoid voltage drop and a dimmer far end. Clean the mounting surface before pressing the adhesive down, and use mounting clips or an aluminum profile on porous or textured surfaces. An aluminum channel with a frosted diffuser does two jobs at once: it spreads the light into a continuous line instead of visible dots, and it pulls heat away from the board, which is exactly what long-life LED tape wants.
IP66: where it can actually goThe
IP66 rating means the strip is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets, so it opens up installations that indoor-only tape can't handle: bathroom niches and shower surrounds, kitchen backsplashes, laundry and utility rooms, covered patios, soffits and eaves, pergolas, pool and spa areas, walk-in coolers and car wash bays. Keep the connection points, driver and controller in a dry, protected location, and seal any cut end properly so the protection stays intact along the whole run.
Where it shines, and what pairs with itHomeowners use it for cove and ceiling perimeter lighting, under-cabinet and toe-kick accents, closet and pantry lighting, stair treads, headboards, home theatres and basement bars. Contractors and businesses specify it for signage backlighting, display cases and shelving, bar and reception desk fronts, restaurant patios, gyms, salons and seasonal storefront colour that changes with the calendar. Within the same family, the
LED strip 19.2W/m (RGBW) gives you the identical RGBW output in another reel option, the
LED strip 14.4W/m (RGB) is the colour-only choice for pure accent work, and for a fixed single-colour white line in a wet or dusty area there is the
LED strip 9.6W/m IP66 or the indoor
LED strip 9.6W/m. No additional documents are posted for this item; the Documentation tab is where any spec sheet or IES file would appear.
