Built to be encapsulated, not fragile
Each unit in this set is a robustly encapsulated LED module holding three Samsung SMD2835 LEDs, sealed and rated IP68 so moisture, condensation and dust inside a sign cabinet are not a concern. The modules are joined by flexible 18 AWG wires, 90 mm between each one, which gives you real freedom to follow the shape of a letter, snake around a logo or keep clean parallel rows inside a box. The body measures 68 x 15 x 11 mm — small enough to hide behind a face, strong enough to be handled, taped and screwed without babying it.
Light quality and beam spread
The lens on top of each module opens the beam to 160°, which is the whole point of a sign module: light that overlaps and blends instead of punching bright dots through the face of your box. Each module puts out 120 lm for only 1.2W, and the lens gives noticeably better application efficiency than LEDs without optics — more of the light you pay for actually lands on the face. Colour temperature is offered as 3000k-3500k (warm white) or 6000-7000k (cool white), so you can match a warm boutique look or the crisp, high-contrast punch most commercial signage calls for.

Wiring, power and installation
This is a 12V DC constant voltage system, so every module in the run sees the same voltage and you simply size your power supply to the load: count your modules, multiply by the recommended 1.5W per module, and leave yourself headroom. Keep a maximum of 50 modules in a single row and feed longer installations as separate parallel runs back to the supply. Mounting takes minutes — use the included double-sided 3M tape on a clean, dry surface, or screw the modules down for a permanent commercial install. Respect the recommended depth of 6-18 cm between the modules and the face of the sign; too shallow and you'll see hot spots, too deep and you lose brightness. Modules can live outdoors permanently when they're enclosed in a sealed light box or channel letters.
Applications and documentation
Think backlit channel letters, single or double-sided light boxes, storefront and pylon signage, illuminated advertising panels, restaurant menu boards, backlit bar fronts, reception-desk logos, display cases and shallow cove details where a flexible strip simply won't spread far enough. Sign shops love them because a set covers 7.90 m of extended length and can be cut at the wire between modules to fit the artwork exactly. Homeowners and renovators use them for backlit house numbers, illuminated wall panels and workshop display boxes.
