Built to stay brightThis
LED tape light is built on an 8 mm wide printed circuit board with a 3 oz copper thickness — a detail most shoppers skip past, but it's the reason the strip runs cooler and holds its output over time. Heavier copper pulls heat away from the 128
Epistar 2835 SMD chips per metre instead of letting it cook the diodes, which supports the rated 50 000+ hour lifespan. The strip is flexible enough to follow a cove, a curved reveal or a wrapped column, and the IP66 encapsulation shields the circuit from dust and water jets, so it survives job sites, humid rooms and wash-downs that would kill a bare tape.
Light quality you can seeAt
CRI 90+, colours look the way the designer intended — countertop veining, cabinet stain, produce, fabric, cosmetics. The 3500K colour temperature is the diplomat of the white spectrum: warm enough to feel residential, neutral enough to look sharp in a commercial space. Output lands at 130 LM/W for 9.6W/M (±10%), and the 120º lighting angle washes surfaces broadly rather than throwing a narrow stripe. Dropped into an aluminum profile with a frosted lens, the 128 LEDs per metre blend into a clean, continuous line of light with no visible hot spots.

Wiring, dimming and installationThe strip runs on
24V DC, so plan a driver with enough capacity for your total metreage plus headroom, and keep each run within the 10 m maximum length to avoid voltage drop at the far end — for longer installations, feed multiple runs back to the supply rather than daisy-chaining one endless line. Cut only on the marked points every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs), then solder or use a proper connector. The tape is
dimmable, which means you can put a kitchen cove on a scene control or bring a retail display down after hours; match the dimmer to the driver you choose. Mounting inside an
aluminum channel is strongly recommended — it straightens the line, adds a heat sink and gives you a diffuser to soften the diodes.
Where it works, and what goes with itThink under-cabinet task light in a kitchen, a glowing ceiling cove in a living room or hotel corridor, vanity and mirror backlighting, closet and pantry shelving, toe-kick accents, stair lighting, display cases, bar backs, reception desks and signage. The IP66 rating opens the door to damp locations and dusty shops. Within the same family you can mix wattages by zone:
LED strip 4.8W/m 24V 24W 30K IP66 for soft accents, this 9.6W/m for general cove and cabinet work, or
LED strip 19.2W/m 24V 96W 30K IP66 where you need punch. For colour,
LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP66 shares the same 24V platform. The full technical PDF (LCLS24V-48W-35K-IP66 Spec Sheet) is in the Documentation tab — download it for your submittals and spec binder.
