LED STRIP 9.6W/M - LCLS12V-48W-50K-IP22

SKU: LCLS12V-48W-50K-IP22

Brand: LEDCO

Some rooms just need a line of light instead of another fixture — and that's exactly what this LED strip delivers. Sold as a flexible reel you cut, bend and stick where the light has to go, it's the product people look for when they type "led strip lights", "led light strips" or "led lighting strips": a slim LED tape light at 9.6W per metre that slips under cabinets, into coves, along ceilings, inside display cases and behind mirrors. This version is SKU LCLS12V-48W-50K-IP22, a crisp 5000K daylight tone for kitchens, garages, workshops, retail displays and any spot where you want light that reads clean and modern. Homeowners use it for under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting, contractors run it in coves and valances, and small businesses use it to make shelves, counters and signage pop.

The numbers behind it are serious, not decorative. Each metre packs 128 Epistar 2835 SMD chips for a smooth, dot-free line of light, drawing 9.6W/m (±10%) and delivering 130 lumens per watt — bright output without the heat or the draw of old halogen or xenon strips. The CRI 90+ rating is the detail that really shows: wood grain, paint, fabric and food all look true instead of washed out, which is why high-CRI tape is the go-to for kitchens and retail. A 120º beam angle spreads the light evenly, the strip is dimmable, the PCB is 8 mm wide with 3 oz copper for better heat management and long runs, and you can cut it every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs). Max run length is 10 m, protection rating is IP22 for indoor use, it's UL listed, and lifespan is rated at 50 000+ hours.

Put it under upper cabinets in a Québec kitchen reno, in a cove above the living room ceiling, along basement stairs, under a bathroom vanity, inside closets and pantries, or in shelving at a boutique, bakery or salon. It's an indoor strip, so keep it out of the rain and away from direct splashing — for damp or outdoor jobs choose an IP66 version such as the LED strip 9.6W/m IP66 4000K. Prefer a warmer or neutral tone in the same format? Compare the 3000K version or the 4000K version. Plan your metres, pick your colour temperature and add this strip to your project today.

Built for clean, continuous light
This LED tape light uses 128 Epistar 2835 SMD chips per metre on an 8 mm wide printed circuit board. That tight LED spacing is what separates a good strip from a cheap one: instead of a row of visible dots, you get a continuous line of illumination, especially once it sits inside an aluminum channel with a frosted lens. The PCB uses 3 oz copper, a heavier copper weight that helps pull heat away from the diodes and keeps voltage drop under control over longer runs — the reason the strip holds its colour and brightness year after year rather than fading at the far end of the run.

Light quality you can see
At 130 lumens per watt and 9.6W per metre, this LED strip lighting gives you real working brightness for a fraction of the energy a halogen or incandescent equivalent would burn. The 120º beam angle spreads light wide, so a single strip under a cabinet washes the whole countertop instead of drawing a hot stripe. Where this reel really earns its keep is the CRI 90+ colour rendering: skin tones, produce, merchandise and finishes look natural, not grey or yellowed. This SKU is the 5000K daylight tone — a bright, crisp white that suits task areas, workshops, garages, laundry rooms and retail display where you want maximum clarity.

Installation and compatibility
This is low-voltage DC tape, so it needs a matching LED driver or power supply sized to your total load: multiply 9.6W by the number of metres you're installing, then leave headroom on the driver. Keep each continuous run within the 10 m maximum and feed longer installations from both ends or in separate runs to avoid dimming at the tail. Cut only on the marked cut points every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs), and use solderless connectors or soldered leads for clean joints at corners. The strip is dimmable through a compatible low-voltage dimmer or dimmable driver, which lets you take a kitchen from full task light down to a soft evening glow. Mounting in an aluminum LED profile — a very common search in Québec, "profilé aluminium pour led strip" — is strongly recommended: it protects the tape, hides the diodes behind a diffuser and acts as a heat sink.

Where it works and what else to consider
Think under-cabinet and toe-kick runs, cove and valance lighting, stair nosings, closet and pantry shelves, bar backs, display cases, reception desks and sign boxes. With an IP22 rating it belongs indoors, in dry locations; for damp areas, soffits or outdoor accents, step up to an IP66 reel like the LED strip 9.6W/m IP66 3000K. Need colour instead of white? The RGB LED strip 14.4W/m and the RGBW LED strip 19.2W/m cover accent and mood lighting.
