Four channels, one tapeAn
RGBW LED strip carries four separate LED channels — red, green, blue and a dedicated white — on the same flexible circuit. That fourth channel matters: with an RGB-only tape, "white" is a blend that often drifts pink or blue and washes out finishes. Here the white chips are
4000K neutral white with a
CRI of 90+, so you get faithful colour rendering for everyday light, and you can still layer colour over it or run colour alone. With
120 LEDs per metre and a
120° beam angle, the output reads as a continuous band rather than a string of points, which is exactly what you want inside a cove, a channel or an under-cabinet reveal.
Construction and cuttingThe tape is built on a
2 oz density white PCB measuring
12 mm wide, a heavier copper board that helps carry current and manage heat over long runs. It ships on
5 m reels and can be cut every
50 mm at the marked points, so you can size runs to a cabinet, a stair or a ceiling detail without waste. Mounting is straightforward thanks to the factory-applied
3M double-sided tape, intended for clean, non-porous surfaces — wipe the substrate down first, and for the best long-term hold (and a much nicer finished look) install the tape inside an aluminum extrusion with a diffuser.

Wiring, power and controlThis is a
24V DC low-voltage product, so it needs a suitable driver or power supply and an RGBW controller sized to the total load — count 19.2W for every metre you install, then add headroom.
Parallel connections are strongly recommended for LED strip installations: do not exceed the recommended run length, because past that point the tape begins to dim at the far end and the strip will be damaged over time. For one long continuous line, use a middle connection — a parallel feed wired to the middle of the run — to keep brightness even from end to end. On the control side, the tape accepts
DMX, PWM, RF PWM, 0-10V and MLV incandescent dimming, which covers everything from a simple wall dimmer to a full architectural or show-control system. The
IP22 rating means indoor, dry locations; the -25°C to 60°C operating range lets it live comfortably in unheated garages, cold rooms and freezer display cases as well as conditioned interiors.
Where to use it, and what goes with itThink kitchen islands and toe kicks, tray and cove ceilings in a basement renovation, backlit bathroom mirrors, home theatre risers, bar fronts and back bars, retail shelving and window displays, gym and salon feature walls, hotel corridors and restaurant banquettes. Contractors like it for commercial fit-outs where the client wants brand colours on the feature wall and neutral white for cleaning and daytime hours. Need other options in the same 24V family?
