Built to run long and look cleanThis
RGBW LED tape light is built on a
12 mm wide PCB with
3 oz copper, a heavier copper weight that pulls heat away from the diodes and helps the strip hold its colour and output over time. With
60 LEDs per meter the dots sit close together, so once you drop the strip into an aluminum channel with a frosted lens you get a continuous line rather than a row of hot spots. Cut marks every
100 mm let you trim a run to the exact length of a cabinet, a cove or a stair stringer, and the
IP66 construction of this version seals the strip against dust and water jets — the right choice for bathrooms, kitchens backsplashes, covered patios and anywhere wipe-downs happen.
Four channels, real white lightPlenty of colour strips fake white by mixing red, green and blue. This one doesn't: it adds a dedicated
4000K white channel, a crisp neutral white that reads clean in kitchens, workspaces and retail. With
CRI 90+, colours stay honest — countertops, cabinetry, food, fabric and product packaging look natural instead of washed out. The
120° beam angle spreads light wide and soft, which is exactly what you want when the strip is tucked into a cove, under a cabinet lip or behind a valance and you're bouncing light off a surface. Use the white channel for everyday task and accent lighting, then bring in RGB for holidays, events, branding colours or a bit of evening atmosphere.

Wiring and installationThe strip runs on
24V DC, so you'll need a low-voltage driver sized for the load: multiply 19.2 W by your total length in meters, then leave headroom on the driver. Because this is a four-channel product, the control chain is driver, then
RGBW controller (a five-wire output: common plus R, G, B and W), then the strip — a very common search around here is for an
RGBW remote, and that's exactly the type of controller this tape needs. Respect the
10 m maximum run from a single feed; for longer installations, run parallel home runs back to the power supply instead of daisy-chaining, which keeps brightness and colour consistent end to end. Cut only on the marked
100 mm points, solder or use quality four-channel connectors, and mount in an aluminum profile — recessed, surface or corner — for heat dissipation and a finished look. The strip is
dimmable through a compatible low-voltage control system.
Where it earns its keep, and what else to look atThink kitchen coves and under-cabinet runs, basement bulkheads, stair and hallway accents, a bar or island front, hotel corridors, salon mirrors, gym feature walls, restaurant ceilings and retail display cases that need to change colour for a season or a promotion.
