LED STRIP 17W/M (DIM TO WARM)

LED STRIP 17W/M (DIM TO WARM)

SKU: LCLS24V-17W-DTW-2440K-IP22-30M

Brand: LEDCO

Imagine a light that gets cozier as you dim it, just like the old incandescent bulbs everyone misses. That's exactly what this dim to warm LED strip does. Known as LED strip lights, LED light strips, LED tape or simply strip lights, this 30 m reel of indoor LED lighting is made to be cut, bent and tucked into coves, ceilings, cabinets and stairs — and it shifts its colour as you turn the dimmer down, so one single run of tape can do bright task light during the day and soft, candle-like glow at night. Homeowners use it for kitchen under-cabinet lighting and hidden ceiling strip lights, while contractors and designers spec it for restaurants, boutiques, hotels and offices where the mood has to change with the hours.

The SKU LCLS24V-17W-DTW-2440K-IP22-30M runs on 24V DC constant voltage and draws 17W/M (±10%), delivering a generous 1530lm to 1620lm with a dim to warm span from 4000K down to 2400K. With a CRI of 80+, wood, paint and skin tones look natural, and the dense array of 196 LEDs per metre (59s/ft) on a 120º beam angle gives you a smooth line of light instead of visible dots. The PCB measures 12mm wide with a heat-friendly 3oz. copper build, it cuts every 71.4mm, runs up to 10m maximum length per run, carries an IP22 rating for dry indoor spaces and is UL listed. Operating range is -20ºC to +60ºC and lifespan is rated at 50 000+ hours. Dimming works with DMX PWM, RF PWM, 0-10V and MLV incandescent dimmers.

This tape shines in coffered ceilings, cove mouldings, headboards, bar fronts, display cases, staircases and reception desks — anywhere a Canadian winter evening calls for warmth instead of cold white light. Since it's IP22, keep it indoors and dry; for damp or outdoor runs, the same family offers waterproof versions such as the LED strip 19.2W/m 24V 96W 30K IP66 or the LED strip 9.6W/m 24V 48W 30K IP66. Need colour or tunable white instead? Look at the LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP22. Roll out your run, plug it into a 24V driver and let the light follow your evening.

Built for a clean, continuous line of light
This LED tape is built on a 12mm wide printed circuit board with 3oz. copper, a heavier copper weight that helps pull heat away from the diodes and keeps colour stable over long runs. The LED density of 196 LEDs per metre (59s/ft) is what gives the strip its smooth, dotless appearance when it's mounted in an aluminum channel with a diffuser. The strip can be cut every 71.4mm along the marked cut lines, so you can follow the exact length of a cabinet, a cove or a stair nosing without wasting material.

Light quality and the dim to warm effect
Standard LED strips hold one colour temperature no matter how low you dim them. This one doesn't: its dim to warm span runs from 4000K at full output down to 2400K at the bottom of the dimming curve, recreating the familiar amber shift of incandescent lamps. The CRI 80+ rendering keeps woods, fabrics, food and skin looking true, and the 120º beam angle spreads light evenly across the surface above or beside the strip. Output sits between 1530lm and 1620lm, enough for real task lighting under cabinets, not just decorative accent.

Wiring, dimming and installation
Power the strip with a 24V DC constant voltage driver sized for your total load — remember the strip draws 17W/M, so a longer run needs a bigger driver, and each individual run should not exceed the 10m maximum length to avoid voltage drop at the far end. For longer installations, feed several runs from the supply side rather than daisy-chaining past 10m. The dim to warm effect is driven by the dimming signal, so pair it with a compatible control: DMX PWM, RF PWM, 0-10V or an MLV incandescent dimmer. Solder or use connectors only at the marked cut points, clean the mounting surface before applying the tape, and mount inside an aluminum extrusion whenever possible for better heat dissipation and a finished look.

Where it works, and what pairs with it
Think kitchen under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting, cove ceilings in a living room, floating vanity lighting, bar and restaurant millwork, hotel corridors, retail display shelving, home theatre steps and reception desks. Because the rating is IP22, this reel stays in dry interior locations; for a covered patio, a bathroom cove or a damp area, choose a waterproof version of the same family such as the LED strip 4.8W/m 24V 24W 30K IP66 or the LED strip 19.2W/m 24V 96W 30K IP66. For tunable white or colour-changing scenes, the LED strip 20W/m 24V 100W IP22 CCT and the LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP22 run on the same 24V platform.
