Built for washing surfaces, not just lining themA standard tape light points its diodes straight up, which is great for hiding a source but poor at painting a wall. This
LED wall washer strip uses an optic that throws the light out at an angle, so from a cove or a ceiling recess the beam reaches down the wall and fades gradually instead of stopping in a hard band. On a flexible circuit board you get the same easy handling as regular
LED tape light: it bends along curves, follows bulkheads and slips inside aluminum channel, while delivering a far more even wall gradient. For architectural coves, feature walls, stairwell walls and retail backdrops, that difference is what separates a finished look from a DIY look.
Warm light people actually likeThe
3000K colour temperature is warm white — the same family of tone people associate with comfortable living rooms, restaurants and hospitality spaces. It flatters wood, paint, plaster, stone and fabric, and it blends with the warm downlights already used in most Canadian homes and commercial fit-outs. Because the light is spread rather than concentrated, plaster and drywall imperfections are far less likely to be exaggerated than with a narrow grazing beam, which makes it a smart choice on painted feature walls and long corridor runs.
Technical specificationsSKU: LCLS24V-OPT-24W-30K-IP22-10M
Type: LED wall washer strip (optic)
Power: 24W per metre
Voltage: 24V DC
Colour temperature: 3000K
Protection rating: IP22 (indoor use)
Reel length: 10M
Electrical and installation notesThis is a low-voltage
24V product, so it needs a DC driver sized for the total load: multiply the
24W per metre by the length you actually install, then choose a driver with headroom. Cut only at the printed cut marks, feed longer runs from both ends or in sections rather than daisy-chaining one very long line, and keep the tape on a clean, dry, degreased surface for good adhesion. Mounting it inside an aluminum extrusion helps with heat management and gives you a crisp, professional edge; a diffuser lens softens the source further when the strip could be seen from the room. Since the rating is
IP22, keep it out of showers, exteriors and any spot exposed to spray or washdown — for those areas, choose a sealed version like the
LED strip 19.2W/m 24V 96W 30K IP66 or the
LED strip 9.6W/m 24V 48W 30K IP66.
Where it earns its keep, and what pairs with itThink of a basement renovation where the cove around the ceiling turns a low room into a bright, open space; a boutique where the back wall glows evenly behind the merchandise; a restaurant where a textured feature wall becomes the focal point; a condo hallway that needs light without a row of visible fixtures. In a multi-zone project, this warm
3000K wall washer works alongside the
LED strip 17W/m 24V dim to warm IP22 for lounge areas and the
LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP22 for colour scenes, all on the same 24V platform. Note that no spec sheet, IES file or installation video is posted in the Documentation tab for this item — so plan your run length, driver capacity and channel type before ordering, and reach out with your cove dimensions if you want a second set of eyes on the layout.
