The #49 series is a large square LED aluminum profile: a 43 × 43 mm (1.693 in) extrusion designed to be seen rather than hidden. Where a small channel disappears under a cabinet, this aluminum extrusion becomes a design element in its own right, a crisp black line running along a ceiling, down a wall or above a table. It is made of 6063-T5 aluminum with a black finish, and it can be painted to match your decor if your project calls for another colour. Room for your strip, and for its heat
Inside, the channel is 39 mm wide and 20.32 mm deep. That generous space accommodates a wide range of LED strips, so you are not limited to one narrow format when you choose your lighting. The aluminum body provides excellent heat dissipation: it draws heat away from the strip, which helps the LEDs run cooler and keep performing over time. For a soft, uniform glow, an opaque lens is available to cover the strip, giving the finished fixture a continuous line of light rather than a row of bright dots.

Mounting and installation
The profile is designed for surface mounting or suspended mounting. Suspension kits are available to hang it as a linear pendant, and the ordering guide on the spec sheet lists double-sided mounting tape, an opaque lens and no-hole end caps. Custom fabrication is also available, including custom lengths specified in inches, for projects that need a precise fit.
