Power from the middle of the run
The CF6108-BN center power feed kit is designed for rooms where the ceiling box is not at the end of the planned track. It connects the track to the building wiring at a point along its length, over the existing box. From there, the track continues in both directions and carries power to each track light head. This is the simplest way to replace a central fixture with a track without moving the box.
Where it works best
Over a kitchen island or peninsula, a center feed gives you a track that is aligned with the counter, with heads aimed at the prep zone, the sink and the seating area. Above a dining table, it spreads light evenly around the room. In commercial spaces such as a hair salon, a boutique or a small gallery, it allows a long, balanced run of adjustable heads from one outlet, ideal for highlighting products, stations or artwork.
Installation tips
Plan the total track length and the split on each side of the box before assembly. With the breaker off, connect the supply to the feed, fasten it over the ceiling box and attach the track sections, then clip in the heads and aim them. Use a feed and track from the same system, and call on a qualified electrician so the installation meets the electrical code of your province.
Why brushed nickel
The brushed nickel finish has a fine satin texture that hides fingerprints and small marks better than a polished surface. It complements stainless steel appliances, nickel faucets and cabinet hardware, and blends with both warm and cool colour schemes. On a white ceiling it reads as a light, refined metal accent rather than a heavy line, which suits classic and transitional interiors as well as modern ones.
Care and upkeep
Dust the feed with a soft dry cloth, power off, and avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the brushed surface. Note the SKU CF6108-BN in your project documents so you can order the same kit when you light another room or extend a track lighting run in your store.
