The power entry of your trackA track run only lights up once the supply is brought into it, and that is the job of the CA6106-WH
live end conduit feed. The conduit is attached at the
3/4" knockout, the conductors are connected inside the feed, and the feed then powers the track so every head placed along it can be switched on. Think of it as the doorway between the building wiring and your
track lighting heads.
Why choose a conduit feedMany ceilings simply do not offer a recessed box in the right spot. Poured concrete in a condo, a heritage building with plaster you do not want to open, an unfinished basement, a warehouse turned into a studio or a store with exposed services: in each case, running the wires in
conduit and feeding the track from its end is the neat, inspection-friendly solution. Commercial contractors appreciate being able to keep the entire run in
EMT conduit right up to the track.
Installing it the right wayDecide the starting point of the track first, then bring the conduit to that exact spot. With the power shut off at the panel, attach the conduit to the knockout using a suitable fitting, make the connections inside the feed, secure the feed to the end of the track and only then install the heads. Electrical work should always be carried out by a qualified electrician and meet the electrical code in force in your province.
A finish for bright spacesThis model is
white, the natural partner for white track, white ceilings and Scandinavian, farmhouse or minimalist interiors where the hardware should fade into the background. For a metallic look with the same function, the
brushed nickel live end conduit feed is the matching alternative, so each project can keep one consistent finish from the feed to the last head.
Easy upkeepWhite hardware stays fresh with very little care: wipe the feed with a dry cloth when you dust the track and heads, always with the power turned off. Record the SKU CA6106-WH in your plans so you can order the identical part when you add another track in a second room or extend the lighting in a shop.
