Feeding the track from its centre
Not every room has its ceiling box where a track should begin. The CF6108-WH center power feed kit connects the track to the building wiring over the existing box, at a point along the run, and the track then continues in both directions. Power travels through the track to every track light head, whether it sits right next to the feed or at the far end. This lets you replace a central ceiling fixture with a track without relocating the box or adding new wiring in the ceiling.
Great for bright renovations
In a white kitchen, a center feed places the track squarely over the island or the work zone, with heads aimed at the counter, the sink and the stools. In a living room or a basement family room, it spreads adjustable light from one side of the space to the other. In commercial interiors such as a clinic, a small office, a pharmacy counter or a clothing boutique, it offers a clean, centred run that can highlight displays, shelves or signage from a single ceiling outlet.
Installation tips
Plan the full length of the track and how much of it goes on each side of the box before assembling anything. With the breaker off, connect the supply conductors to the feed, secure it over the ceiling box, attach the track sections, then clip in and aim the heads. Use a feed and track from the same track system, and have a qualified electrician carry out the work so it complies with the electrical code of your province.
Why choose white
The white version blends into white ceilings and white track so completely that the installation reads as a slim line rather than a piece of hardware. It suits Scandinavian, farmhouse, coastal and minimalist decors, and it is the discreet option for low ceilings or small rooms where you want to keep the space visually light. Paired with white heads, it gives a uniform look from one end of the track to the other.
Care and planning
White hardware only needs an occasional wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth, always with the power turned off. Keep the SKU CF6108-WH in your plans so you can order the same kit for another room, or when you add a second track lighting run to light a longer wall in your shop.
