Built to sit flush and stay quietThe LUNA 4" regressed gimbal is a compact round
recessed downlight designed to give you a minimal ceiling with maximum control. The round trim sits tight to the drywall while the LED module is set deep inside the housing, so what you see from across the room is a dark, calm aperture instead of a glaring dot. The gimbal ring rotates and tilts inside that aperture, which lets you point light at a wall, a painting, a bookcase or a countertop after the ceiling is closed up — no need to decide the exact aim before the mud and paint. The brushed nickel trim of RA4-12RG-DTW90BN adds a subtle metallic accent that reads warmer than chrome and softer than black.
Light quality you can actually seeThis is where the LUNA earns its keep. The Liteline spectrum test report for this platform measures a colour rendering index of Ra 92.8 with an average of R 90.9, and TM-30 results of Rf 92 and Rg 98 — meaning colours are both accurate and pleasantly saturated. Individual rendering values include R1 at 92.96, R2 at 97.30, R3 at 98.91, R9 at 55.97 and R14 at 99.57. The measured chromaticity lands at CCT 2687K within the ANSI 2700K target, a
warm white that flatters oak floors, warm paint, brick and skin tones. The report shows a total flux of 899.4 lm at 8.978 W, an efficacy of 100.17 lm/W and a power factor of 1.000. And because this is a
dim-to-warm model, the colour temperature drops as you lower the dimmer, recreating the candle-like glow of a halogen on its way down — ideal for dining rooms, bedrooms and hospitality spaces.

Installation and planning tipsPlan your layout before you cut: a regular grid of 4"
pot lights handles general lighting, while tilted heads placed a short distance out from a wall turn the same fixture into a wall-washer or an art light. In a kitchen, keep the downlights over the front edge of the counters so you are not working in your own shadow; in a hallway, a straight line down the centre reads best; in a basement or a condo with limited plenum depth, a compact recessed housing like this one is much easier to fit between joists than a deep can. Always confirm the aim of each gimbal once the drywall is finished, and check your dimmer against the manufacturer's compatibility guidance so the dim-to-warm curve behaves smoothly all the way down.
Applications, family and documentationConcrete uses: a living room ceiling that needs even, glare-free light; a stairwell or corridor in a multi-unit building; a boutique or gallery where merchandise and artwork have to look their true colour; a restaurant dining room that should feel warm as the evening goes on; a home office where accurate light reduces eye strain. Within the same family you can mix finishes and control types —

Luna 4" OnCloud RGBTW in white for colour-changing zones. The technical PDF for this model is available in the Documentation tab — download it before you order so your electrician has the data on hand.
