A complete kit, not just a roll
Plenty of people buy tape light and then discover they're missing the power supply. Not here. This LED MONTREAL kit pairs a 5-metre 3528 single-colour strip with a 36W standard plug-in non-dimmable driver, so you unbox, stick, plug in and you're lit. The strip measures 8mm wide, carries 60 LEDs per meter and consumes 4.8W/m, with a recommended power supply of 6W/m and a Class 2 power supply required. The flexible circuit follows curves, corners and cove details, and it can be cut every 6 LEDs (100mm) at the marked points so a 5m roll can serve several short runs in the same room.
Light quality you can live with
The 3528 SMD chip is the classic choice for smooth, continuous accent lighting: 60 chips per meter at a 120° beam angle means the light blends into a soft line instead of a row of dots once it bounces off a ceiling or shelf. Typical luminous flux is 400 lumens per meter (it varies slightly depending on the Kelvin degree chosen), and CRI 80+ renders colours honestly — important over a countertop, a display shelf or artwork. Available colours are 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 6000K, from cozy warm white through crisp cool white, so you can match the mood of the room or the rest of your fixtures.

Installation and dimming
Because it's low voltage, wiring is friendly: the female DC plug on the strip connects to the included supply, and the two 17cm wires at the other end give you a clean point to extend or feed a second section. Clean the surface before you press the tape down, keep the strip on a flat and reasonably cool surface, and plan your cuts at the 100mm marks. If you want control beyond on/off, add a low-voltage E2-RF dimmer with one of the compatible remotes — K1, K2, B1, K0S, FUT007 or C1 — which sits between the driver and the strip; the E2-RF accepts DC12~24V input, 6A per channel, Max 12A total (4A at 24V or 5A at 12V to comply with Class 2 requirements), common anode output, a 30m control distance and measures 100.6mm x 40mm x 17.6mm. Alternatively, swap in a dimmable power supply driven by a 120V AC dimmer. IP20 means this strip is for dry indoor locations only — no bathrooms showers, no outdoor exposure.
Where to use it, and documentation
Homeowners use it for crown moulding uplighting, under-cabinet kitchen glow, toe-kick and stair lighting, closet interiors, basement ceiling coves and TV-wall backlighting. Contractors reach for it on condo renovations and office fit-ups where a slim 8mm tape hides in a reveal. Small businesses light retail shelves, jewellery cases, bar shelving, reception logos and salon stations with it.
