A complete, no-guesswork RGB kit
Everything you need arrives together: the cULus Listed RGB 150 LED strip from CDNLUX in its iP20 uncoated version, a cULus Listed 24V 1.5A 36W Class 2 plug-in power supply and a 24-key infrared remote with its receiver. That means no separate driver shopping, no mismatched voltages and no guessing about certification — this is an affordable RGB LED strip kit with no compromise on quality. The strip runs at 24V DC, a low voltage that is friendly to work with and keeps voltage drop lower over a 5-metre run than 12V tape.
Light quality and colour control
The 5050 RGB SMD chip is the workhorse of colour-changing lighting: each diode carries red, green and blue emitters, so the strip blends smooth colour instead of showing separate dots of red, green and blue. At 30 LEDs per metre with a 120-degree lighting angle, the light spreads wide and washes surfaces evenly — ideal behind a valance, inside a cove or under an upper cabinet. The remote handles the rest: dim control to set a single colour and adjust brightness, full RGB mode for 16 individual solid colours, 5 light patterns (Static / Flash / Strobe / Fade-change / RGB Smooth-change) and 16 speed settings in Flash, Strobe and Fade-change modes.

Installation and cutting
Plan your layout first, then cut the LED tape only on the marked cut lines, every 5 LEDs (16.5 cm). Clean and dry the mounting surface before applying the adhesive backing — a quick wipe with isopropyl alcohol makes a big difference on melamine, MDF and painted drywall. Keep the 10 mm strip out of sight behind a lip, a valance or an aluminum channel so you see the glow, not the diodes, and give the receiver and plug-in power supply a spot near an outlet. Since the maximum draw is 7.2 W per meter, respect the capacity of the supplied 36W Class 2 power supply when you plan additions. Remember this kit includes the non-protected iP20 strip: it is made for dry indoor locations, so no bathrooms, no exterior soffits, no damp cabinets.
Where it works and what to read
Homeowners use it for under-cabinet accents, toe-kick lighting, staircase ribbons, TV backlighting, headboards and basement games rooms. Contractors reach for it on quick colour-accent jobs in condos and rec rooms, while small businesses light display shelves, retail windows, reception desks, bars and salon mirrors with it — it is approved for both residential and commercial projects. The full technical PDF for this kit is in the Documentation tab of this page; it lists the strip model, certification, cut points, voltage and consumption you need for your drawings or your electrician.
