Five chips in one diode
What separates this kit from a basic colour strip is the LED itself. Each 5050 chip integrates five separate emitters — red, green, blue, warm white 2400K and cool white — so colour mixing and white light no longer fight each other. Standard RGB strips build white from red, green and blue, which almost always reads blue or violet on a wall or ceiling. Here, dedicated white emitters handle the whites while the RGB channels handle colour, giving you a genuine RGB+CCT LED strip that can go from a warm, relaxed glow to a crisp working white, then to any colour you want for a party, a holiday or a storefront display.
Light output and beam
The strip carries 300 LEDs over its 5 m length and delivers 400 lm/m on white, enough for accent lighting, cove lighting and under-cabinet task light. The 120 degree lighting angle is wide, so the light washes surfaces smoothly rather than printing dots on the ceiling — a real advantage in coves, valances and aluminum channels where the strip sits close to the surface it lights. Dimming is handled through the remote control, so you can bring the level down for movie nights and back up for cooking or work.

Installation and electrical notes
The base kit ships with the 5 m cUL listed RGB+CCT white strip, a 24V power supply and the RGB+CCT white Multi Zone controller, so the electrical side is already matched. Size your supply using the recommended 18W/m at 24V rather than the 14.4W/m draw — that headroom keeps the driver cool and your colours stable. Cut only on the marked points every 6 LEDs (10 cm), solder or use dedicated connectors on the copper pads, and respect polarity and channel order on this five-channel strip. Because the rating is IP20, keep it indoors and away from splashes: no showers, no exterior soffits, no unheated wet locations. Mount on a clean, dry surface, and an aluminum channel with a diffuser is always a smart upgrade for heat management and a continuous line of light.
Where it works and what you get
Homeowners use it under kitchen cabinets, in bulkheads and coffered ceilings, behind headboards, along stair stringers and in basement theatres. Contractors and small businesses run it in reception desks, retail shelving, restaurant bars, salons and display windows, where the multi zone controller lets one system drive several areas with different colours or white temperatures. Options in the pull-down menu include a remote control, a Wi-Fi controller for phone control, and longer kits for bigger runs.
