Dot-free light, built like a pro product
What sets a COB LED strip apart from a traditional SMD tape is the chip-on-board construction: the diodes are covered by a continuous phosphor layer, so the strip emits one unbroken line instead of a row of dots. No hot spots, no shadow stripes through a diffuser, no scalloping on the wall above your cabinets. This model uses a 3-ounce copper circuit board, which is heavier than what you find on entry-level tape — more copper means steadier current along the run, more consistent light from the first metre to the last, and far better heat dissipation over the life of the strip. At 10mm wide and 2mm thick, it slips into narrow reveals, shallow coves and slim extrusions where a bulkier tape simply will not fit.
Tunable white and colour quality
The big feature here is adjustable white from 2700K to 6500K. Warm white for the evening, neutral for everyday living, cool white when you need focus and clarity — one installation covers all of it. The colour temperature is changed through a CCT adjustable remote paired with a low voltage dimmer, and dimming works through that same dimmer/remote combo. A CRI of 90+ means colours look the way they should: skin tones in a bathroom mirror, the real shade of a paint chip, the grain of white oak millwork, the actual colour of food on a counter. With a 98.4° lighting angle and a typical output of 742 lumens per metre, the strip spreads light wide and close, which is exactly what you want under a cabinet or inside a cove.

Wiring and installation
This is a 24V DC low voltage product, so it needs a driver sized for the run: count 18W per metre as the recommended power supply figure and add capacity if you are chaining sections. The three wires at each end carry power and the colour-tuning signal, and because both ends are pre-wired you can feed the strip from whichever side is closest to your driver. Cut only on the marked points every 62.5mm, then solder extension wires directly onto the exposed copper pads — soldering gives a far more reliable joint than a clip on a tunable-white tape. The 3M adhesive holds well on clean, dry surfaces, but heat is the enemy of any LED tape: the strip must be installed on a heat dissipating surface or in an appropriate aluminum channel. An extrusion with a frosted lens also softens the line and protects the tape from dust and bumps.
Where it works, and what to read before you buy
Think under-cabinet task lighting in a kitchen, a lit cove around a living room ceiling, backlit bathroom mirrors and vanities, closet and pantry shelving, stair and hallway guidance, headboards, home theatre risers, bar fronts and toe kicks. On the commercial side it belongs in retail display cases, boutique shelving, café counters, salon mirrors, office reception desks and showroom millwork, where the multi zone control lets you manage an unlimited number of controllers split into up to 8 zones — warm in the seating area, cooler at the work counter, all from one remote. Because it is rated iP20, keep it out of wet and outdoor locations. The full technical PDF for this COB LED strip is in the Documentation tab; give it a read before ordering your driver and aluminum channel so everything lines up on install day.
