The LUNA Designer Series 2" is built around a durable airtight aluminum body with an anodized blue heat sink that keeps air moving over the LED module — the simplest way to protect light output and colour over the long run. The optics are regressed inside the black trim, which is exactly why the fixture reads as a soft pool of light instead of a bright dot in your sightline. Compact dimensions keep it discreet: 2 3/4" (70 mm) overall, 2 5/16" (59 mm) and 2 13/16" (71 mm) profile dimensions, an 18" (457 mm) cable, a 1 1/2" (38 mm) driver box height and a 4 5/8" (117 mm) driver box, all sized for tight plenums and shallow ceilings.

Light quality and Dim-to-Warm
This SKU is the Dim-to-Warm module: instead of a five-position CCT switch, the colour temperature travels from 3000 K down to 2000 K as you dim, recreating the cozy amber of a halogen or incandescent lamp at low levels. Output reaches 680 lumens in DTW mode from a 7 W LED module, with a typical CRI of 96 and a 40° beam spread from the lens. Dimming runs from 100 % to 10 % using industry-standard forward-phase / reverse-phase dimmers (contact the factory for the compatible dimmer list). Note that the colour selectable switch is not available on DTW models — that is the trade-off for the warm dimming behaviour.

Wiring and installation
Installation is deliberately contractor-friendly. Two spring-loaded clips attach the housing to any ceiling material through a Ø 2 1/2" (64 mm) hole, so remodel work needs no housing can. The extruded aluminum hardwire box holds a 170 mA dimmable Class II electronic driver with three quick-connect push-in terminals for fast wiring, and an 18" FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links driver to fixture — approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings, though not for branch wiring. The fixture is IC rated and approved for direct contact with insulation, airtight, and suitable for wet locations, indoor or outdoor. An optional pre-mounting plate is available for new construction, along with butterfly brackets, hanger bars, a 60" flexible connector to extend the distance between fixture and driver, a vapor barrier and a commercial grade driver (120~347V / 120~277V, 0-10V dimming).
