A wall light made for stairs and corridors
The WLFLR-1W30K-90-ABK is a compact recessed LED wall light designed to graze light across walls and floors at low height. Mounted beside stair treads or along a hallway, it lights the path at foot level, which is exactly what you want at night: enough light to see every step, without the glare of a ceiling fixture. This round-trim version uses a wide 120° beam, ideal for spreading light over a stair tread, a landing or a long corridor wall.
Light quality
With a warm 3000K colour temperature and a 90 CRI, the light stays cozy and natural. Hardwood, carpet, tile and painted drywall render with their true tones, which matters in entrances and staircases where the finishes are on display. At 1.4W, each fixture sips power, so leaving a row of them on all evening in a hallway or stairwell is perfectly reasonable. Dimming from 100% to 5% with compatible electronic or magnetic dimming drivers lets you set a soft night level.
Installation and electrical details
This is a hardwire, low-voltage fixture: it runs on a 24V constant-voltage system and requires a remote power supply. A toolless push-in connector accepts LVT low-voltage cable and allows daisy-chain wiring from one fixture to the next, which simplifies long runs along a staircase. The aluminum housing includes strain relief and torsion clips for a secure fit in the wall, and the fixture rotates so you can orient the light. It is IC rated; when installing in an insulated wall, the manufacturer calls for a vapor barrier (WL-VBE) and a pre-mounting plate, both sold separately. It is for indoor use only, in dry and damp locations, and it carries cETLus certification.
Choosing the trim and finish
The round trim gives a soft, classic outline that suits traditional stairwells and contemporary homes alike. Anodized black stands out as a graphic accent on white or light grey walls and blends into charcoal, black or dark wood panelling. The same wall graze light is also offered with a square trim and in flat white or aluminum finishes, so you can match door hardware, railings and switch plates throughout the project.
