Built flat on purposeThe whole point of this
slim LED recessed downlight is thickness — or rather, the lack of it. With a panel depth of only 0.47" (12 mm) and a panel diameter of 4.72" (120 mm), it sits nearly flush with the finished ceiling and needs almost no plenum behind it. That makes it the practical answer where a traditional can simply will not fit: under a stair landing, in a dropped soffit, inside a cabinet valance, in a van conversion roof, or in a boat cabin where every millimetre of headroom counts. The white trim blends into painted drywall, MDF and plywood ceilings, and the diffused lens hides the diodes so you see light, not pinpoints.
Light quality you can live underOutput is rated at
600±50 lumens from an
8W LED engine, spread through a
120° beam angle for wide, even coverage. A
CRI greater than 80 renders colours honestly — helpful over a cutting board, a bathroom mirror, a retail shelf or a workbench. The
2 colour temperature settings let you choose 3000K warm white for living areas, bedrooms and hospitality spaces, or 5000K cold white for kitchens, workshops and task zones, so one SKU can serve an entire project and you can fine-tune each room on site instead of guessing at the order desk.

Wiring, dimming and installationThis is a
low-voltage luminaire: it must be fed by a compatible 12V or 24V power supply, never wired directly to the 120V line. Add up the wattage of every fixture on the circuit before choosing your transformer, leave headroom, and keep cable runs short with adequate gauge so the last light on the chain is as bright as the first. Dimming is
PWM, so use a dimmer and driver combination designed for PWM control on low-voltage LED panels. Cut a clean, correctly sized ceiling opening so the trim lands flush, connect the fixture to the driver lead, tuck the connection neatly into the cavity, and press the panel home. Always cut power at the panel first, and for permanent building wiring have a licensed electrician do the connection — good practice everywhere in Canada. The damp-location approval means it tolerates humidity in a covered porch ceiling, a bathroom ceiling outside the shower zone or a laundry room, but it is not made for direct exposure to rain.
Applications and documentationTypical projects: kitchen and island ceilings, corridors in condos and small offices, display ceilings in boutiques and salons, cottage bunkies, garages and workshops, RV and trailer interiors, marine cabins and solar off-grid cabins. In a line-voltage renovation, keep the same clean look by combining rooms with the
round commercial LED recessed 6'' or the larger
round commercial LED recessed 10'', and use the
linear LED recessed for cabinetry and shelf accents. The full
technical spec sheet — dimensional drawing, colour temperature settings and driver connection diagram — is in the Documentation tab, so your electrician has everything needed before the first hole is cut.
