Built to last in a metal housing
The TL-RMES303 uses a metal housing rather than a moulded plastic shell, which is what you want in corridors, service areas and stairwells where a fixture can take a knock from a cart, a ladder or a moving crew. The Running Man combo format puts the legally recognizable pictogram and the emergency lighting in one body, so there is one box to mount, one circuit to feed and one device to test. Three pictograms ship with the unit — 2 pcs with arrow and 1 pc without arrow — letting you set left, right or no-direction signage at installation time instead of ordering different versions for each door.
Light output and emergency performance
Two 2W x 2 adjustable lamp heads pivot to aim light along the path of egress: down a hallway, across a landing, or out toward an exit door. The LED output is 6500K, a cool white that reads clearly through smoke-free air and keeps the pictogram sharp from a distance. On loss of power, the integral Ni-Cad battery 3.6V 1800mAh SC takes over and supports the unit for 2 hours of backup. A test switch and charge indicator light are built in, so monthly function checks and annual inspection routines are quick — press, confirm, move on.

Wiring, mounting and installation notes
The dual 120/347V input is the detail installers appreciate most: the same unit serves a 120V branch circuit in a small business or basement and a 347V feed in a commercial or institutional building, with no step-down transformer needed in the fixture's supply. Both wall and side mounting are supported, so the sign can sit flat above a door or project perpendicular from the wall where sightlines down a corridor matter more. The unit is not remote capable, meaning the two heads on the body are the light source to plan around — position the fixture where those adjustable heads can cover the whole egress path. Keep the location within the -10˚C to +40˚C operating range; with its IP20, damp location rating it suits interior spaces and damp-prone areas such as covered entries and service corridors, not direct weather exposure.
Where it earns its keep, and documentation
Think retail floors and stockrooms, restaurant kitchens and dining rooms, dental and medical clinics, daycare centres, schools, warehouses, machine shops, office suites, condo and apartment corridors, and finished basements with a stair exit. Because the unit is self-powered, it keeps working even if the panel serving that zone goes down — which is why building inspectors look for combo signs at stair discharge points and along long corridors. The full TL-RMES303 spec sheet is available in the Documentation tab of this page, with the dimensional drawing, ordering information and complete product specification table to attach to your submittals. Plan one unit per exit sightline, confirm mounting height with your local code authority, and your emergency exit sign coverage is done.
