Built to be seen, built to lastThe TL Series
LED emergency sign uses a CRS (cold rolled steel) housing finished in white, paired with PC (polycarbonate) panel(s) carrying the green running man pictogram. Steel keeps the box rigid in high-traffic corridors where a plastic shell can flex or crack, and the polycarbonate face spreads the LED light evenly across the symbol instead of leaving hot spots. Because 3 pictograms are included — 2 arrow pieces and 1 without arrow — one box covers a left-hand exit, a right-hand exit or a straight-ahead door, and the unit can be configured single face or double face for corridor-hung installations.
Light output and emergency operationSuper bright SMD LED illumination keeps the pictogram legible from a distance while sipping power: 3W on 120V and 4W on 347V. The integrated
Ni-Cd battery backup is self powered and delivers 2 hours of run time when utility power drops, which is the standard duration asked for in most Canadian egress plans. A test switch lets you simulate a power failure on demand, and the charge indicator light confirms at a glance that the battery is receiving charge — the two features that make routine building inspections painless for property managers and maintenance crews.

Installation and electricalTurolight designed this sign for innovative, easy installation: universal wall, ceiling or side mounting means the same unit adapts to a doorway header, a drop ceiling above a corridor or a side-wall position where the pictogram must be read from both directions. Dual 120/347V input is a real time-saver on mixed projects — one SKU stocked on the truck covers the residential 120V suites and the 347V commercial floors of the same building. Note that this model is not remote capable and carries its own battery; if your project instead runs on a central DC supply or remote heads, the
AC only & 6-24V UDC running man sign is the matching version, remote capable and identical in size and appearance. All work should be done by a qualified electrician, following local code and the Canadian Electrical Code.
Where it fits, and documentationThink condo and apartment corridors, stairwell landings, office reception areas and meeting-room exits, retail sales floors, restaurant kitchens and dining rooms, medical clinics, daycares, schools, gyms, warehouses and underground parking access doors. The damp location rating and -10˚C to +40˚C range cover cold vestibules, loading areas and unconditioned service corridors common in Canadian buildings. The full
