Built for wet, cold and rough locationsThe TL-EM002-6W-WL uses an
injection-molded thermoplastic housing in white ABS with a
UL-94V-0 flame rating, meaning the enclosure is fire-retardant — an important detail when an inspector reviews your life-safety package. It is
IP65 rated and wet location rated, so dust, hose-down cleaning and driving rain aren't a problem, and its operating temperature range of
-20˚C to +40˚C keeps it working through Canadian winters in unheated garages, docks and exterior entries. The two lamp heads rotate and tilt on the canopy base so you can aim both beams exactly where the egress path runs.
Light quality and outputEach of the two heads draws
3W, for
6W total, and the fixture produces
330 initial delivered lumens. The
6500K colour temperature gives a cool daylight white that reads instantly as emergency lighting and contrasts well against normal warm interior light, while a
CRI of 82 keeps signage, stair nosings and floor markings legible. The
25° beam angle concentrates the output into a long throw rather than spilling it near the fixture, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to hit the far end of a corridor or a stairwell landing with limited wattage. LED life is rated at
50,000 hours.

Wiring and installationInstallation is straightforward for any qualified electrician. Make the wire connections first, observing polarity where required — the positive and negative wires connect to the
DC supply from your emergency battery unit and are identified with labels when indicated. Secure the canopy to the junction box with mounting screws (not included), install the lamps gently to avoid breaking the pins, then apply power. To aim, loosen the set nut under the canopy just enough to
rotate the heads, then retighten gently — over-tightening can break the head's feet. Tilt is done by hand, up or down. Mount the unit high enough that it won't be tampered with, and keep it away from gas or electric heaters.
Compatibility, applications and documentsBecause this is a
remote head and not a self-contained unit, it must be fed by a DC emergency battery pack or inverter whose output falls within
6-24VDC and whose remaining capacity covers the 6W load. Typical projects: condo and apartment corridors with exterior stair exits, warehouse loading bays, parkades, car washes, food plants with wash-down zones, and municipal garages. Indoors, the same family gives you other output levels — see the
4W emergency LED remote head double and the
14W double LED emergency remote head — and for smaller wet-location coverage the
single-head 1x3W wet location model shares the same housing and voltage range. The full
