Light quality you can see through smoke and panic
Legibility is everything on an emergency sign. This model uses super bright SMD LED sources at 6500K, a cool daylight tone that makes the green running man pop against a dark or smoke-filled corridor and stay readable from a distance. Because the light engine is LED rather than incandescent, the sign sips only 4.2W while it is energized, which keeps the load on your emergency circuit low and lets the battery do more work when it is needed.
Self-powered, tested in seconds
The unit is self powered: a Ni-Cd battery inside provides 2 hours of backup when normal power drops, with no remote head wiring or central inverter required. A test switch lets maintenance staff simulate a power failure on the spot, and the charge indicator light confirms at a glance that the battery is charging. Input is 120/347VAC, a dual rating that means the same sign serves a house, a strip mall on 120V and an industrial or institutional building running 347V — very handy when you are stocking one part number for a multi-building job.
