The LITELINE LL Series track in silver, model TK6012-SL, is a 12-ft extruded aluminum track rail for light residential and commercial projects. People call it a lighting track, track bar, track lighting rail or simply the rail you clip track light heads onto, and it is the backbone of any track lighting system: mount it to the ceiling or suspend it, feed it with power, then slide your heads along it to wash a wall, aim at a counter or highlight artwork.

This is a 1-circuit track built for 120V applications, with a system electrical rating of 20A, 120V, 60Hz. The 1⁄32" die cast aluminum extrusion holds 3⁄64" PVC insulators and 12 gauge flat conductor wiring, while the copper electrical conductors stay concealed in a low profile insulating thermoplastic cross-section — flat, solid, integral conductors rated 20 Amps per branch circuit. A polarity groove on the face of the track shows you where the grounding conductor sits, so orientation is never a guessing game. The profile measures ¾" (21mm) by 1 3⁄8" (35mm), and this silver finish section runs 144" (3658mm), the longest length in the family. Sections join together with any of the compatible track connectors.

Built from solid extruded aluminum
The TK60 family is an extruded aluminum track section with flat, solid integral conductors, and the TK6012-SL is the 12-ft version in silver. The extrusion is 1⁄32" die cast aluminum, fitted with 3⁄64" PVC insulators that hold 12 gauge flat conductor wiring in place. Copper electrical conductors are concealed inside an insulating thermoplastic low profile cross-section, which keeps the rail slim against the ceiling: ¾" (21mm) deep by 1 3⁄8" (35mm) wide. A polarity groove runs along the face of the track to indicate the location of the grounding conductor — a small detail that makes installation and head orientation faster and safer.

Electrical and installation details
This is a single circuit track for 120V applications, with a system electrical rating of 20A, 120V, 60Hz. The single hot and neutral conductors are rated for 20 Amps per branch circuit. Track lighting is a single circuit electrical distribution system designed to supply power to lighting units in flexible ways, so plan the run first: decide where the power comes in, then choose a live-end (LE6110), a live-end with canopy (LE6111), a wired-end for a receptacle (WE6110), a center feed with canopy cover (CF6108) that provides power anywhere along the track from a junction box, or the CA6106 live-end conduit feed with 7⁄8" knockout for top or end feed. Finish the open side with the TK6000-END end cap. All electrical work should follow the Canadian Electrical Code and local rules — when in doubt, have a licensed electrician make the connection.

Accessories and compatibility
The Liteline track system is compatible with all Liteline track accessories and connectors, and sections can be joined together using any of the compatible track connectors. Use the IC6101 I-connector to join two sections at 180° for one long continuous run, the LC6102 L-connector for 90° corners, the TC6103 T-connector for three sections at 90°, the XC6104 X-connector for four sections at 90°, or the FC6105 flexible connector when two sections meet at a varying angle. For open ceilings, cathedral slopes or commercial spaces, the TDR62 hollow stem rod kit includes the ceiling canopy, mounting brackets and hardware for suspension, with RODR62 rods to suspend the track and RODF62 rods for the fixtures themselves.
