COB construction: light without the dots
Traditional SMD tape places individual diodes along the board, which shows up as scallops and dots on a wall or inside a channel. This COB LED strip packs 512 LEDs per metre under a continuous phosphor coating, so the emitting surface behaves like a single line of light. On a PCB only 8mm wide and 1.5mm thick, the tape bends along curves, coves and rounded millwork without breaking the light line, which is exactly why designers specify COB for cove lighting, under-cabinet runs and display work where the fixture must stay invisible.

Light quality you can trust
With CRI 90+, colours stay honest: white oak looks like white oak, paint samples match, food and merchandise look appetizing instead of washed out. Electrical and installation notes
Plan your runs first: the maximum continuous length is 5m, so longer installations should be split into separate runs fed from the driver rather than chained end to end. Multiply 11W by your total metres, then choose a 24V DC driver with headroom to spare. Cut only on the marked 62.5mm cut lines, clean and dry the surface before pressing the 3M double-sided tape into place, and mount the tape in an aluminum profile whenever it sits against wood or drywall — the channel spreads heat, protects the strip and, with a frosted diffuser, perfects the seamless effect. The IP22 rating means indoor, dry-location use: keep it out of showers, pools and exterior runs, and note that waterproof IP66 versions of our LED strips exist for those jobs. Operating range is -20ºC to +60ºC.
