Some rooms only need one thing to finally look finished: a clean line of light. This LED strip delivers exactly that — a flexible 24V DC tape you tuck under cabinets, into coves, along stair nosings or inside an aluminum channel, and suddenly the whole space reads custom. People call it LED strip lighting, LED light strips, LED tape or simply strip lights, and it's the same idea every time: continuous, shadow-free illumination where a regular fixture would look bulky or awkward. Model LCLS24V-96W-27K-IP66-30M is the warm 2700K version, a candle-like glow that flatters wood, stone and paint instead of washing them out, making it a favourite for kitchens, bedrooms, restaurants and retail displays alike.

Under the silicone, this is a serious light engine. It packs 128 LEDs per meter using Epistar 2835 SMD chips, draws 19.2W per meter (±10%) and delivers 120 lumens per watt, so the output stays dense and even with no visible dots or hot spots through a diffuser. The CRI 90+ rating means colours, food and finishes look true — an important detail over a counter or a display case. A 120° beam angle spreads light generously, the 10 mm PCB with 3 oz copper keeps heat under control, and it runs on 24V DC with full dimming capability for scene control. It carries an IP66 protection rating and is UL listed, with a rated lifespan of 50 000+ hours. Maximum run is 10 m and the tape can be cut every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs).

Put it to work under kitchen cabinets, in ceiling coves and drop ceilings, along toe kicks, in walk-in closets and pantries, inside bookcases, behind bathroom mirrors, or as backlighting for a restaurant bar, a reception desk or a store shelf. With its IP66 rating it also handles damp and dusty spots that make ordinary tape fail — laundry rooms, garages, workshops, covered outdoor ceilings and Canadian three-season rooms. Pair it with a 24V DC driver and a compatible dimmer, and mount it in an aluminum profile for a true architectural line. Prefer a different white? The same family offers LED strip 19.2W/M 24V 96W 30K IP66. Plan your runs and light your project the right way.

Built to run long and look seamless
This LED tape is built on a 10 mm wide PCB with a 3 oz copper thickness, which is what lets it carry 19.2W per meter without cooking itself. Density is the other half of the story: 128 LEDs per meter of Epistar 2835 SMD placed close together, so once the strip sits behind a frosted diffuser you get a continuous line of light rather than a row of dots. The tape is flexible enough to follow coves, curves and inside corners, and it can be cut every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs) at the marked cut points, so you size each run to the millimetre of your cabinet or ceiling detail instead of hiding leftovers.

Warm 2700K light with CRI 90+
The 27K in the code means 2700K — a warm, relaxed white close to incandescent, ideal where comfort matters more than punch. Combined with a CRI 90+ rating, it renders wood grain, brick, textiles, skin tones and food accurately, which is exactly what you want over a counter, in a bakery display or in a hospitality setting. The 120° beam angle spreads light wide and soft, and at 120 lumens per watt the strip stays efficient while doing it. The same platform is offered in other colour temperatures if your project calls for something cooler: LED strip 24V 19.2W/M IP22 (35K) and LED strip 24V 19.2W/M IP22 (40K).

Wiring, dimming and installation
The strip runs on 24V DC, so it needs a constant-voltage 24V power supply sized for the total load of your run — multiply 19.2W by the number of meters, then leave yourself headroom. Respect the 10 m maximum run per feed; for longer installations, split the job into several runs and feed each one from the driver rather than daisy-chaining endlessly, which is what causes that faded look at the far end. The strip is dimmable, so pair it with a compatible dimming driver or controller for scene-level control in a dining room, a lounge or a hotel corridor. Mounting in an aluminum profile with a diffuser is strongly recommended: it protects the tape, helps dissipate heat and gives you that crisp architectural line.

Where it earns its keep
Think under-cabinet kitchen lighting, cove and tray ceilings, stair and hallway guidance, closet and pantry shelving, vanity and mirror backlighting, display cases, bar fronts, reception desks and retail shelving. Because it's rated IP66, it also survives places where dust and moisture are part of daily life — garages, workshops, laundry rooms, covered porches and unheated storage areas common in Canadian homes. Need less output for a subtle accent, or colour-changing effects instead? Look at LED strip 9.6W/M 24V 48W 30K IP66 or LED strip 14.4W/M 24V 72W RGB IP66.
