This square gimbal downlight was designed for renovation reality: shallow cavities, crowded joist bays and ceilings that already have plumbing or ductwork in the way. The housing is only 45 mm (1.8") deep, the visible square face measures 63 mm (2.5"), and the junction box sits at 108 mm (4.25") with a 33 mm (1.33") profile, so the whole assembly slips into places a can light simply won't go. The trim is interchangeable between 3" and 4", which means the same fixture can cover a 3" cut-out of 2.56"–2.95" (65–75 mm) or a 4" cut-out of 3"–4.25" (78–108 mm) — very handy when you're replacing older recessed lighting and the existing holes aren't consistent.

Light quality you can tune
Output is 784 lumens drawn from just 8 W, delivered through a 40° beam angle that concentrates light on the counter, the floor or the wall instead of spilling across the room. With a CRI greater than 80, skin tones, wood grain and paint colours stay honest. The five-position toggle switch on the junction box sets the colour: upper position for 2700K, second for 3000K, middle for 3500K, fourth for 4000K and lower for 5000K. Wiring, dimming and compatibility
The fixture runs on standard 110–130 VAC line voltage with an integrated driver in the junction box, so there's no remote transformer to hide above the ceiling.
