Built for tight ceilings
This round gimbal downlight is designed around a compact body — 45 mm (1.8") and 63 mm (2.5") deep by 33 mm (1.33") and 108 mm (4.25") across per the technical drawing — so it slips into shallow ceiling cavities where a traditional can simply will not go. The real trick is the interchangeable trim: the same fixture accepts a 3 inch or 4 inch trim, which makes retrofits far easier when you are replacing older holes of different sizes. Cut-out for the 3" trim is 2.56" - 2.95" (65 - 75mm); cut-out for the 4" trim is 3" - 4.25" (78 - 108mm). The gimbal lets you tilt the head after installation, turning a plain recessed pot light into a true accent light.

Wiring, dimming and compatibility
The fixture runs on standard 110 - 130VAC line voltage and is Triac base dimmable, so it works with common forward-phase wall dimmers.
