The LED RECESSED 3" DLX SQUARE - 8W (SKU LCDLX3S-CCT-8W-BK) is a gimbal square downlight — what most people call a square pot light, a recessed LED downlight or simply an encastré — with an integrated light engine, no bulb to buy and no bulb to replace. The tilting gimbal lets you wash a wall, graze a stone fireplace or drop light straight onto a countertop, which makes it just as useful for general ceiling lighting as for accenting. Build and design
This is a square gimbal downlight built around an integrated LED module, so there's no lamp socket, no bulb and no mismatched colour down the road. The black trim gives a low-profile architectural line that disappears into dark ceilings and frames beautifully against white drywall. The gimbal tilts inside the square aperture, letting you angle the 40° beam toward a wall, a bookcase or a work surface while the trim stays square to the ceiling grid. Trim sizes are 3 & 4 inches interchangeable, so the same fixture adapts to a fresh cut-out or to an existing hole left by an older can.

Output is 784 lm at 8W, a comfortable level for residential and light commercial ceilings when fixtures are laid out in a regular grid.
