LED RECESSED 3" DLX ROUND - 8W - LCDLX3R-CCT-8W-BN

SKU: LCDLX3R-CCT-8W-BN

Brand: LEDCO

Some lights are meant to be seen; this one is meant to disappear. The LED recessed 3" DLX round is a compact gimbal downlight — the kind of fixture people look for as a pot light, a round LED recessed light or simply kitchen downlights — with a brushed nickel trim that sits clean and flush in the ceiling. Its adjustable gimbal lets you tilt the beam toward a backsplash, a bookcase, a piece of art or a shower niche instead of lighting the floor for nothing, which makes it a favourite for renovations, condo ceilings with tight cavities, basement finishing and small commercial fit-outs. SKU: LCDLX3R-CCT-8W-BN.

Behind the small aperture is a real workhorse. It draws just 8W and delivers 784 lumens, so a handful of them will light a kitchen or a hallway beautifully while using a fraction of the energy of old halogen cans. The 40° beam angle keeps the light focused and controlled, and a CRI of over 80 means wood grain, paint colours, food and merchandise all read true. Five selectable colour temperatures — 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5000K tunable — are set with a simple toggle switch on the junction box, so you can warm up a living room or cool down a workshop without reordering anything. It runs on 110–130VAC with a power factor above 0.94, is Triac dimmable with compatible dimmers, Type IC rated, approved for damp locations, cETLus certified and backed by a 5 year warranty. The trim is interchangeable between 3 and 4 inches, with a 3" cut-out of 2.56" – 2.95" (65 – 75 mm).

It shines in kitchens, hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms and covered entries, in boutiques and clinics, and anywhere a Canadian renovation has to fit lighting between existing joists. Need the same fixture in another finish to match different rooms? The identical model is offered in black trim and white trim. Plan your spacing, confirm your dimmer, and let this little downlight do the heavy lifting.

Built small, aimed well
This is a round gimbal downlight with a 40º optic and a brushed nickel trim, designed for ceilings where space is at a premium. The housing measures 45 mm (1.8") deep with a 63 mm (2.5") body, and the trim reads 108 mm (4.25") across, so it tucks into shallow cavities that won't take a traditional can. The gimbal is the real difference: instead of a fixed wash, you tilt the light where the work happens — over a counter, onto a feature wall, down a stairwell — and the result is a room that feels designed rather than simply lit.

Light quality you can trust
At 8W the fixture produces 784 lumens with a CRI greater than 80, which keeps skin tones, paint swatches and product displays looking natural. The CCT selectable feature is handled by a toggle switch on the junction box: upper position gives 2700K, second position 3000K, middle 3500K, fourth 4000K and lower position 5000K. That means one box on the truck covers a cozy 2700K living room, a 3000K bedroom and a crisp 4000K or 5000K garage or workspace — decided on site, not at the order desk.

Installation and dimming
Because it is Type IC rated, the fixture may sit in direct contact with insulation, and its damp location approval covers covered porches, bathrooms outside the shower spray and similar spots. Use the 3 inch plate (LCPLATE-3) or the 4 inch plate (LCPLATE-4) depending on the opening you are working with — the trim is interchangeable between 3 and 4 inches, which is handy when you inherit existing holes in a renovation. Dimming is Triac based; the spec sheet lists tested dimmers including the Lutron S-603P, CTCL-153P, DV600P, SCL-153P and 600PH, and the Leviton 6633-P, 1C33L1 and 6674. Confirm your dimmer before wiring, and have a licensed electrician make the connection where local codes require it.

Where it works and what's documented
Kitchens and islands, hallways, closets, finished basements, stairs, retail shelving, salons, waiting rooms and office corridors all suit this 3" aperture. For a consistent look through a whole project, the same downlight is available with a black trim or a white trim. The full technical PDF — drawing with dimensions, CCT toggle positions, trim options, product numbers, compatible dimmer list and mounting plates — is in the Documentation tab for your submittals and your electrician.
