Built for accent light, not compromiseThis
MR16 LED reflector lamp belongs to the VIVID Series (family reference VIV-MR16) and carries the ordering code VIV-MR16/T3/7W/30/WFL40/GU5.3/D. The T3 body with its
GU5.3 bi-pin base keeps the same footprint as the halogen spot it replaces: 1.97 in maximum overall diameter and only 1.8 in maximum overall length, so it seats in existing low-voltage housings and track heads without shimming or modification. Efficient internal thermal management protects the diodes and helps hold brightness steady year after year, and the lamp reaches full output the instant you flip the switch — no warm-up, even in a cool garage, vestibule or unheated showroom.
Light quality you can see on the wallOutput is
500 lumens from
7 W, the equivalent of a
50 W incandescent spot, shaped into a
40° wide flood beam with 1251 centre beam candlepower. That combination gives a soft-edged pool of light that washes artwork, a stone fireplace or a merchandising table evenly instead of punching a hard hot spot. At
3000K, the white is warm and residential-friendly, and a
CRI of 80 means reds stay red and wood grain keeps its depth — a real difference in restaurants, galleries and retail.

Installation, dimming and compatibilityInstallation takes a minute: cut the power, let the old halogen cool, pull it out and seat the new
12 V MR16 bulb in the GU5.3 socket. Because this is a low-voltage lamp, it must be fed by a transformer or driver suited to LED loads; the same goes for the wall control, since the lamp is
dimmable only with compatible dimmers — an incompatible one is the usual cause of flicker or a narrow dimming range. Do not install it in a totally enclosed luminaire, as trapped heat shortens the life of any LED. Its
damp location approval allows use under a covered soffit or in a bathroom fixture built for damp service.
Where it earns its keep, and what's in the Documentation tabThink kitchen island pendants and under-cabinet spots, hallway accents, jewellery and bakery display cases, hotel lobby track runs, gallery walls, boutique shelving and condo living rooms where a warm beam sets the tone at night. Contractors retrofitting an older low-voltage track system get the biggest win: same socket, same look, a fraction of the load. The
technical PDF (LCB-MR16-7W-30K Spec Sheet) in the Documentation tab lists the full family table, dimensional drawing and listings for your submittals. Round out the project with lamps from the same house line, such as the
