LED BULB G9 4W - LCB-G9-4W-40K

SKU: LCB-G9-4W-40K

Brand: LEDCO

Swap a hot little halogen capsule for something that sips power and keeps your chandelier looking exactly the same. This G9 LED bulb — also called a G9 capsule, mini bi-pin lamp, pin-base bulb or simply a G9 LED bulb 4000K — is the direct replacement for the two-pin halogen capsules found in chandeliers, pendants, wall sconces, vanity bars and decorative table lamps. Its tiny body hides behind shades, frosted glass and crystal without crowding the fixture, so the fixture stays the star and the lamp does the work. If you are hunting for a cool, neutral white pin-style lamp for a bathroom vanity, a dining room chandelier or a shop display fixture, the SKU LCB-G9-4W-40K is the one to write down.

Only 4W of draw replaces a 45W halogen capsule and still delivers 450 lumens at 4000K, a crisp neutral white that reads clean and modern next to chrome, white cabinetry and quartz counters. The CRI 80 rating keeps skin tones, wood grain and fabrics looking natural, while the wide 330° beam angle spreads light all the way around the capsule the way the old halogen did — no dark spots inside a glass diffuser. It runs on 120V, uses the standard G9 base, and it is dimmable, so your existing dimmer scenes still work. Rated for 25,000 hours, cETLus listed, damp location approved, suitable for use in totally enclosed luminaires, and backed by a 3-year limited warranty. Operating temperature range: -20˚C ~ +40˚C.

This little lamp earns its keep in dining rooms, entry foyers, powder rooms and bedrooms, and just as much in restaurants, boutiques, hair salons and small hotel lobbies where a dozen decorative fixtures are lit every single day. In Canadian homes it is a smart fix for tall stairwell chandeliers — 25,000 hours of rated life means far fewer trips up the ladder — and the damp location rating makes it comfortable in a well-ventilated bathroom. It fits any fixture built for a G9 two-pin socket. Need a warmer look in the same body? See the LED bulb G9 4W 3000K or the Vivid G9 4W 450lm 2700K dimmable. Working on a 12V under-cabinet or landscape-style fixture instead? Grab the LED bulb G4 2.5W 4000K. Order your set today and light the whole fixture at once.

Built to disappear into the fixture
The whole point of a G9 capsule is that nobody sees it. With a maximum overall diameter of 0.77 inch and a maximum overall length of 2.16 inch, this pin-base LED lamp keeps the same compact footprint as the halogen capsule it replaces, so it tucks behind shades, glass cups and crystal arms without changing how the fixture looks or how the glass sits. Internal thermal management protects the diodes and helps the lamp hold its output over its service life — important in decorative fixtures where several lamps share a small, warm enclosure. It is rated for use in totally enclosed luminaires, which is exactly where most chandelier and vanity capsules live.

Light quality you can live with
At 4000K you get a neutral white that feels bright and clean without going blue — the go-to colour temperature for bathrooms, kitchens, task areas and retail displays. The CRI 80 rating keeps colours honest, so makeup looks right at the vanity and merchandise looks right on the shelf. The 330° beam angle matters more than people expect: a narrow LED in a decorative fixture creates hot spots and shadowed glass, while this near-omnidirectional spread fills a diffuser evenly and mimics the glow of the halogen capsule you are replacing.

Installation and dimming
Installation is simple, but do it cold: cut the power at the switch or breaker and let the old halogen capsule cool completely before you pull it — halogen pins stay hot far longer than you think. Handle the new lamp by its base, line up the two pins with the socket and push straight in without twisting. Because this lamp is dimmable on 120V, it works with your existing dimmer, but low-wattage LED loads behave differently than a chandelier full of 45W halogen capsules: test one lamp on the dimmer first, and where possible load all sockets in the fixture with the same model so the whole fixture dims evenly and reaches the same low end. If flicker or drop-out appears at the bottom of the dimming range, a dimmer rated for low-wattage LED loads is the fix.

Applications, matching lamps and documentation
Think dining room chandeliers, foyer and stairwell fixtures, bathroom vanity bars, bedside pendants, display cabinets and picture lights at home; restaurants, cafés, boutiques, salons, spas and boutique hotel corridors on the commercial side, where fixtures burn long hours and ladder time costs real money. Keep the look consistent across a project by mixing in the same body in other colour temperatures: the LED bulb G9 4W 3000K for warmer living spaces and the Vivid G9 4W 450lm 2700K dimmable for a cozy halogen-like glow. For 12V fixtures, the LED bulb G4 2.5W 4000K and the Vaso MR11 3W 200lm 3000K GU4 glass housing cover bi-pin and GU4 sockets.
