Bold, square and built for commercial spaces
Where compact channels play discreet, the #81 plays architectural. It is a large-format profile with a square cross-section of 25 x 25 mm, designed for commercial and architectural projects. The size accommodates a wide range of LED strips and provides excellent heat dissipation, and the body is made of 6063-T5 aluminum. Its generous section gives the fixture visual weight, so it holds its own under high ceilings where a thin strip would look lost.
Why black works so well
In spaces with open ceilings painted black, dark wood slats or industrial finishes, a silver profile becomes a distraction. The black finish blends into the ceiling plane so the eye follows the light, not the housing. Suspended in parallel rows over a dining room or in one long line over a bar, the black #81 creates a rhythm that feels designed. Pair it with the opaque lens available for the series if guests will look up at the fixture.
Installation
The profile can be surface mounted or suspended with the dedicated suspension kits. Before installation, lay out the suspension points, the power supply location and the power feed with your electrician; in open ceilings, route the cables along the existing structure for a tidy result. For a perfectly level line, measure the suspension height at each point before the final adjustment, and keep the LED power supply accessible for future maintenance. The 16 foot length covers long runs with fewer joints, and custom fabrication is available for special layouts. All line-voltage work must be done by a licensed electrician in accordance with local codes.
