One clean architectural element
The #81 is a large-format suspended profile with a square 25 x 25 mm cross-section, designed for commercial and architectural projects. In this version, the black body and the opaque lens work together: the profile disappears against dark ceilings and the strip stays hidden, so what people see is a clean line of light framed in black. The 6063-T5 aluminum construction provides excellent heat dissipation for the strip inside.
Why an opaque lens on a pendant
A suspended fixture is often seen from below and from a distance, at an angle where a bare strip would be in plain sight. The opaque lens covers the strip, which keeps the fixture looking finished for the people seated around it. Choose the LED strip according to the space: a neutral white for offices and meeting rooms, a warm white for restaurants, lounges and residential dining areas. The square section accommodates a wide range of strips, which leaves you free to pick the one that suits your lighting project.
Suspension and installation
Suspend the profile with the dedicated suspension kits or mount it directly on the surface. Map out the suspension points, the power supply location and the power feed with your electrician, and check that the ceiling structure can support the fixture at each point. For a row of fixtures, align the first and last suspension points, then set the others along a chalk line so the whole run stays straight, a simple linear pendant installation tip that saves time on site. The 16 foot length covers long tables and corridors with fewer joints; for other dimensions, custom fabrication is available. Line-voltage connections must be made by a licensed electrician.
