Tiny profile, lots of possibilities
The 44 series was designed to be discreet. At 12.2 mm by 12.2 mm, less than half an inch, this profile is one of the smallest on the market, yet it accepts a good range of LED strips up to 8 mm wide. That makes it ideal for tight spots: under the front edge of a shelf, inside a cabinet frame, behind a mirror or along a closet shelf, where it turns a bare strip into a neat linear LED line.
Lenses and heat management
The ordering guide lists a clear lens, an opal lens, a black lens and the SiLens, so you can match the look to the space; the opal lens is the usual pick for a softer look in direct view. Made of 6063-T5 aluminum alloy, the profile increases heat dissipation, and its use increases the lifetime of your LED engine, a smart detail for strips that run every day.
Installation tips
The 44 is compatible with multiple installation accessories, including the flat bracket of the ordering guide, and is designed to meet North American woodworking standards, so it fits neatly into cabinets and millwork. It conforms to UL STD. 2108 for closet usage, a real advantage for closet lighting. Plan your strip lengths and driver location before you start, keep the wiring accessible, and have any line-voltage connection made by a licensed electrician. Custom lengths are available in the series by sections of 2 to 240 inches (6 m).
