Why a black mini profile?
On black cabinets or dark wood, even a small silver channel can catch the eye. The black 44 solves this: at 12.2 mm by 12.2 mm, less than half an inch, it is one of the smallest on the market, and its black finish blends into dark surfaces so the LED strip lighting looks built in. It accepts a good range of LED strips up to 8 mm wide, which leaves you plenty of choice.
Lenses and heat management
The ordering guide lists a clear lens, an opal lens, a black lens and the SiLens. Paired with the black profile, the black lens completes an all-black look, while the opal lens is the usual pick for a softer look when the profile is in direct view. The 6063-T5 aluminum alloy increases heat dissipation, and its use increases the lifetime of your LED engine.
Installation and closet use
The profile is compatible with multiple installation accessories, including the flat bracket of the ordering guide, and is designed to meet North American woodworking standards. It conforms to UL STD. 2108 for closet usage, ideal for closet LED lighting in black wardrobe systems. Custom lengths are offered in the series by sections of 2 to 240 inches (6 m). Follow the instructions of your LED strip and driver, and have any line-voltage connection made by a licensed electrician.
