A continuous line of light, not a row of dots
The whole point of the continuous lighting aluminum profile is to eliminate the pixel effect. A standard LED strip installed bare shows every diode, and that becomes very obvious when the light reflects off a polished countertop, a glass shelf or a lacquered cabinet door. Combining a high-output, high-density LED strip with this state-of-the-art aluminum channel and its diffuser produces the even, uninterrupted glow normally associated with a neon tube — while keeping the efficiency, the low profile and the control options of LED. It is the difference between lighting that looks added on and lighting that looks designed in.
Construction and format
This SKU is the surface-mount model, a U shape extruded aluminum body supplied in one 8 feet (2.44 m) length. Aluminum does double duty here: it holds the strip straight and protects it from knocks and dust, and it acts as a heat sink, drawing warmth away from the diodes so the light output stays stable over long runs. The profile is cut to length with the right tool, so an 8-foot stick can cover a full counter run or be divided into several shorter sections for shelves, risers or display cases.

Installation and compatibility
Surface mounting keeps the work simple: no groove to rout, no drywall to open. The channel is fastened directly to the underside of a cabinet, the face of a shelf, a bulkhead or a display frame, the LED strip is seated inside, and the diffuser is snapped into place. Since the profile itself carries no electronics, the electrical side comes from your strip and its LED driver or power supply — respect the strip's voltage and wattage per foot, size the supply accordingly, and keep the connection point accessible. For best results, use a high-density LED strip whose width suits the channel, and place connections and power feed at the end of a run so the continuous line stays visually clean. The continuous lighting profile is offered in two models, surface and recessed, so a single project can mix both where the architecture calls for it.
Where it works best, and documentation
Under-cabinet lighting over a quartz or glass counter is the classic use, but this profile is just as convincing in retail showcases, jewellery and bakery displays, museum-style shelving, back bars, reception counters, hallway coves, staircases, walk-in closets and home offices. Contractors use it to deliver a custom linear look on both residential and commercial jobs across Canada, where a warm, glare-free line of light makes long winter evenings a lot more pleasant.
