Known by a lot of different names — 6" recessed downlight, slim LED pot light, retrofit LED can light or simply luminaire encastré by our Québec customers — this SlimLED Multi round downlight drops straight onto an existing 6" recessed housing or onto a 3.5"/4" octagon box, no can required. It is the go-to answer for anyone searching for a fire rated recessed downlight or a clean, low-profile recessed LED light for kitchens, hallways, basements, covered porches and commercial ceilings alike.

Under that slim profile sits a serious little performer. The 13W LED module delivers up to 1210 lumens (up to 85 lumens per watt) with a remarkable 96 CRI, so wood grain, paint colours and skin tones all look true. A CCT select switch gives you five selectable colour temperatures — 2700 K (1105 lm, default), 3000 K (1150 lm), 3500 K (1190 lm), 4000 K (1210 lm) and 5000 K (1175 lm) — so one fixture covers every room. The durable airtight aluminum body measures 7½" (190 mm) across with a 4 15⁄16" (125 mm) aperture section and a slim 23⁄32" (18 mm) profile, and the twist-and-lock white trim is included (black and brushed nickel trims sold separately). The SLMT6-13W is built around a durable airtight aluminum body that sheds heat and keeps conditioned air where it belongs. Its twist-and-lock trim system means you align, twist and you are done — a real time-saver when you are doing a whole floor of 6" recessed downlights. The white trim ships in the box, while black (SLMT6-RT-BK) and brushed nickel (SLMT6-RT-BN) trims are sold separately. This general application fixture uses a 13 watt LED module that maintains uniform intensity and produces up to 1210 lumens with a typical CRI of 96 — the kind of colour rendering that makes countertops, cabinetry and merchandise look the way they should. The lens spreads light at a wide 110° beam angle for even, shadow-free coverage. Wiring, dimming and mounting
A built-in on-board driver accepts 120V AC directly, so there is no remote junction box driver to hide above the ceiling. Quick connect push-in terminals make wiring fast and clean. The fixture mounts to an industry standard 3.5"/4" octagon box (JBox or standard slab box) with a minimum depth of 1.5" (40 mm) through its mounting holes, or onto a compatible 6" recessed housing using the P-SLMT6-6CAN retrofit kit, sold separately, which includes an E26 lampholder, wire, connectors and spring clips. It is also compatible with RF601ICAT series and RF602ICAT series recessed housings. Dimming runs from 100% down to 10% with industry standard forward/reverse phase and TRIAC/ELV dimmers; the OnCloud Smart Wi-Fi dimmer (LC-CRTL-DIM-1) and OnCloud Smart Wi-Fi 3-way switch (LC-CRTL-3WAY-1) are listed accessories for smart control and 3-way or 4-way applications.

Suitable for wet locations and indoor/outdoor rated, the SLMT6-13W handles a bathroom ceiling above the shower, a covered entryway, a soffit, a garage, a basement renovation, a retail sales floor or an office corridor.
