The LUNA 2" square is engineered around a durable airtight aluminum body with an anodized blue heat sink that maximizes airflow around the LED source — the reason this little square LED downlight keeps its output honest year after year. The trim measures 2¾" (70 mm) square with a 1 5⁄8" (42 mm) inner opening and a 2 5⁄16" (59 mm) regressed aperture, and the housing sits only 4 5⁄8" (117 mm) tall, so it slips into tight joist bays and shallow bulkheads. The black (BK) finish keeps the aperture visually quiet against dark ceilings and feature walls, while regressed optics cut glare at eye level.

Light quality and Dim-to-Warm

Wiring and installation
The fixture ships with an extruded aluminum hardwire box housing a 170mA dimmable class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V AC input. Three Quick Connect push-in terminals in the driver compartment make wiring fast, and an 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links driver to fixture — approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings (note: not approved for branch wiring). Two spring-loaded clips hold the trim to any ceiling material, and an optional pre-mounting plate is available for new construction. Cut a Ø 2½" (64 mm) hole, snap it in, done. It is airtight, IC rated for direct contact with insulation, and suitable for indoor/outdoor wet locations.
