Known by many names — square downlight, pot light, recessed downlight, luminaire encastré — this Liteline LUNA is the crisp, architectural answer when you want clean ceilings and precise, low-glare light. The regressed optic tucks the LED up inside the housing, so you see the glow on your counters, art and hallways instead of a hot spot in your eyes. It's built for remodel work with its two spring-loaded clips, and it's just as happy in new construction with the optional pre-mounting plate. Homeowners use it for kitchen downlights, wall niches and bathrooms; contractors love it in small commercial spaces where a 2-inch aperture keeps the ceiling looking intentional.

This fixed square version delivers up to 700 lumens from a 7 W LED module, reaching up to 103 lumens per watt with a typical CRI of 96 — colours, wood tones and skin tones simply look right. The on-fixture CCT selectable switch gives you five colour temperatures: 2700 K (626 lm), 3000 K (650 lm), 3500 K (675 lm), 4000 K (693 lm) and 5000 K (640 lm), so one SKU covers warm living rooms and crisp task areas. It's dimmable from 100% to 10% on industry-standard forward-phase / reverse-phase dimmers, runs on 100-135V AC 50/60Hz, throws a 40° beam, and is rated for wet locations, airtight, IC rated for direct contact with insulation, cETLus certified and Energy Star. Projected life is 70% at 50,000 hours, backed by a lifetime warranty. Hole cut is Ø 2 1/2" (64 mm), and it starts down to -40°C (-40°F).

The LUNA 2" uses a durable airtight aluminum body with an anodized blue heat sink that maximizes airflow around the LED source — the reason this little recessed downlight can push real output without cooking itself. The square trim in brushed nickel (BN) sits flush and tight, and because the fixture is airtight and approved for direct contact with insulation, it belongs in the ceilings that matter most: insulated attics, sealed envelopes and renovation work where air leakage is a real concern. Two spring-loaded clips hold it in any ceiling material for remodel installs, while an optional pre-mounting plate handles new construction. Hole cut is Ø 2 1/2" (64 mm), with an overall depth and trim footprint sized for tight plenums.

A 7 W LED module produces uniform intensity with up to 700 lumens and a typical CRI of 103 in the series, with this 90+ CRI build rated at 96 CRI — a level that makes paint, tile, marble and merchandise read true. The lens shapes a 40° beam spread, tight enough for accenting a niche or a backsplash, wide enough to layer into general lighting when you space them properly. The on-fixture 5-position CCT select switch lets you set 2700 K, 3000 K, 3500 K, 4000 K or 5000 K before you close the ceiling, with published output of 626, 650, 675, 693 and 640 lumens respectively — handy when a client changes their mind about warm versus neutral white on site.

Driver, dimming and wiring
The extruded aluminum hardwire box holds a 170 mA dimmable Class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V AC input. Three "Quick connect" push-in terminals in the driver compartment speed up wiring, and an 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links driver to fixture — approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings, but not approved for branch wiring. Dimming runs 100% to 10% on standard forward-phase / reverse-phase dimmers (contact factory for the compatible dimmer list). Minimum starting temperature is -40°C (-40°F), so an unheated garage or an exterior soffit in January is no problem.
