The RA4S-12RG-DTW90BN is built around a durable airtight aluminum body with an adjustable regressed gimbal, paired with an anodized blue heat sink that maximizes airflow around the LED light source. That thermal design is what protects the diodes over the long haul and supports the projected life of 70% @ 50,000 hrs. Wiring and installation
An extruded aluminum hardwire box houses the dimmable class II electronic LED driver (12 watt at 300 mA or 9 watt at 210 mA) with 100-135V AC input. Three "Quick connect" push-in terminals make wiring fast, and an 18" FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links driver to fixture — approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings. Two spring loaded clips grip any ceiling material, the fixture is airtight, approved for direct contact with insulation and tested with insulation up to R60. In spray foam and loose fill applications, a VBE vapour barrier extender is recommended. Accessories such as the P-4020 pre-mounting plate, P-4020NC new construction plate and P-NCMK-1 new construction mounting kit are designed for 4" LUNA LED fixtures and are sold separately.
