The RA4S-12RG-90BK is built around a durable airtight aluminum body with an adjustable regressed gimbal and an anodized blue heat sink that keeps airflow moving around the LED source — the simplest way to protect light output over the long haul. The extruded aluminum hardwire box uses three "Quick connect" push-in terminals for fast wiring, and an 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links the driver to the fixture — approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings.

The 12 watt (300 mA) dimmable Class II electronic LED driver accepts 100-135V AC and dims smoothly from 100% to 10% on industry-standard forward-phase / reverse-phase and TRIAC/ELV dimmers. The fixture is airtight, suitable for wet locations and approved for direct contact with insulation — it has been tested with insulation up to R60, which matters in Canadian attics and cathedral ceilings. In spray foam and loose fill applications, a VBE vapour barrier extender is recommended.
