Wiring and installation
The extruded aluminum hardwire box houses a 12 watt (300 mA) dimmable Class II electronic LED driver and connects to the fixture with an 18" FT6 rated cable fitted with a DC 2.1 connector, approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings. Three quick connect push-in terminals make the wiring step quick and tidy, and two spring loaded clips let the housing grip any ceiling material — drywall, plaster or a suspended tile. It's airtight, suitable for insulated ceilings, approved for direct contact with insulation and tested with insulation up to R60. In spray foam and loose fill applications, a VBE vapour barrier extender is recommended; a Liteline vapour barrier extender, pre-mounting plate or new construction mounting kit can be ordered as separate accessories. Operating range is -20°C~40°C (-4°F~104°F), and dimming performance is best with industry standard forward-phase / reverse-phase and TRIAC/ELV dimmers.
