A professional-grade strip, not a toy
Most colour-changing rolls sold online are thin, dim and fall off the wall within a month. This 24V RGB LED strip uses 5050 RGB SMD chips at a density of 30 LED per metre, delivering saturated reds, greens and blues plus the full mix of colours in between. The 120-degree lighting angle spreads light evenly instead of throwing hot spots, which is exactly what you want when the strip is hidden in a cove, under a shelf or behind a headboard and you only see the reflected glow. The adhesive backing is high quality, so the strip stays put on clean drywall, wood or aluminum channel. The tape is 10 mm wide (IP20 version), slim enough to tuck into most decorative profiles and trims.
Two ways to control your colours
The kit ships with a 24-key infrared remote for instant colour selection and brightness control, plus a Wi-Fi controller so you can run the lighting from your phone on your home network. The controller communicates over WiFi-IEEE 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz, accepts DC12 ~ 24V input, and provides 2A per channel with a maximum total of 4A. It measures 11.5 cm long by 5 cm wide, small enough to hide behind a night table or inside a cove, and operates between -20 and 60 degrees. The strip is dimmable through the remote, so you can drop it to a soft night-light level or push it bright for cleaning day.

Installation made simple
Plan your run first: measure the wall, ceiling cove or furniture edge, then cut the strip only on the marked cut points, every 5 LEDs (16.5 cm). Wipe the surface with alcohol and let it dry before pressing the adhesive down firmly along its full length — that single step prevents almost every sagging problem. Plug the strip into the Wi-Fi controller, the controller into the included plug-in transformer, and you are lit. The 2-metre RGB extension cable included in the kit lets you mount the strip high on a wall or ceiling while the transformer stays near the outlet, hidden behind furniture. If you choose the 10 m option, you receive a continuous 10 m LED strip rather than two 5 m rolls, so there is no visible splice in the middle of your run. Everything runs on low-voltage 24V DC, safe to handle and ideal for a kid's room.
Where it works and what to read
Think bedroom headboards, teen and gaming rooms, ceiling perimeter lighting in a finished basement, toe-kick glow in a kitchen island, under-shelf accents in a home bar, a colour wash behind a TV in a home theatre, or seasonal colour in a retail window or a café. Contractors use this kit as an easy add-on at the end of a renovation; homeowners use it as a weekend project.
