Electrical, drivers and installation
This is a 24V DC constant voltage fixture, so it always needs a Class 2 LED driver, sold separately. The hardwire version connects directly to the driver's leads, which suits permanent installations inside cabinetry, soffits and casework. Non-dimming plug-in and hardwire box drivers are offered in 24W, 36W and 60W; for dimming, the electronic hardwire drivers LED-HWBDIM2-24-40 and LED-HWBDIM3-24-40 are 40W, 24V, 2-wire and 3-wire respectively and powered by Lutron®, while magnetic dimmable hardwire drivers are available in 20W, 40W, 60W, 96W and 192W. Add the total wattage of your fixtures (2 watts each) and choose a driver with room to spare. The LED-SP-4 harness handles up to 4 runs at 24V, the LED-DIM 24V touch dimmer works with a non-dimmable driver, and drivers with a DC 2.1 jack require the LED-HWB-DC21-6-PF power feed, with a maximum of 10' to the first fixture.
