A low-profile puck with a wall wash effect
The Moon Puck is designed to do more than create a bright spot on the counter. Its optics produce a smooth wall wash effect: the light spreads across the backsplash and the work surface instead of forming harsh circles. The UC-WW-2430H90BK is the black version, with a thin profile that stays discreet under a cabinet or inside a display case.
Construction and light quality
The body and the bracket ring are made of metal, while a plastic reflector and a frosted lens diffuser shape and soften the output so the individual LEDs are not visible. The warm white 3000K colour temperature flatters wood, stone and ceramic finishes and creates a welcoming atmosphere in the evening. Each fixture uses 3W, a very modest load that keeps energy use low even when a full row of pucks stays on for hours, compared with older halogen puck lights.
Electrical details and dimming
This is a 24V low-voltage puck light: it must be powered by a compatible 24V driver, never connected directly to line voltage. It is dimmable from 100% down to 10% when paired with a suitable dimming driver. Every puck is supplied with bare leads for a hardwired installation, which gives you the freedom to lay out the run to suit your cabinets. Because the pucks are linkable, several fixtures can be wired on the same run from one driver; respect the driver's capacity and the manufacturer's limits when you plan the number of pucks.
Surface or recessed installation
For a quick install, mount the puck on the underside of the cabinet with its bracket ring. For a flush, built-in finish, remove the bracket ring and recess the puck into the wood, a popular choice for new custom kitchens and millwork. Place the pucks toward the front of the cabinet so the light reaches the counter rather than your eyes, and run the wires along the cabinet frame toward a concealed driver. Hardwired connections to the building's circuit must be made by a licensed electrician.

Maintenance is simple: wipe the lens with a soft, dry cloth to keep the output at its best.
