Built to move, built to last
The ORBIT 2" is machined around a durable aluminum body that gives you 360° rotation and 80° tilt inside a clean round trim. That mechanical freedom is the whole point: instead of buying different fixtures for flat ceilings, cathedral ceilings and accent walls, you install one adjustable recessed downlight and aim it after the drywall is up. On a steep roof pitch, the gimbal swivels back to shine straight down so the ceiling reads level even when it isn't. The white (WH) trim blends into most ceilings, and the low-profile design keeps the fixture visually quiet while the light does the talking.
Light quality and colour selection
The 5 watt LED module produces up to 505 lumens with uniform intensity and a typical CRI of 93 — a high colour rendering figure that keeps millwork, tile, artwork and merchandise looking the way they should. A 5-position CCT switch located on the driver gives you five selectable colour temperatures: 2700 K (420 lm), 3000 K (450 lm), 3500 K (473 lm), 4000 K (487 lm) and 5000 K (504 lm). Warm for living rooms and bedrooms, neutral for kitchens and offices, cool for garages and retail displays — one SKU covers every room in the house. This version carries the medium 38° beam spread; the lens is also offered in 24° narrow and 50° wide options in the family.
Electrical, dimming and installation
Power comes from an extruded aluminum hardwire box housing a 120mA dimmable Class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V, 60Hz AC input. Between the driver and the fixture, a 15" FT6 rated cable with a 3-pin DC connector is approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings, and three "Quick connect" push-in terminals speed up wiring on site. Mounting is tool-friendly: two spring-loaded clips grip any ceiling material through a Ø 2¾" (70 mm) hole cut, making it ideal for retrofit work. Dimming runs from 100% down to 10% with industry-standard TRIAC/ELV dimmers, and the fixture is airtight, approved for direct contact with insulation, rated for wet locations, indoor/outdoor rated, and operates from -40°C to 40°C (-40°F to 104°F).

Think open-concept kitchens where you need to aim light at an island edge, a basement with limited plenum depth, a condo hallway lined with art, a covered deck or porch, a shower or bathroom ceiling, a retail counter or a café's feature wall. Because it is wet rated and insulation-contact approved, it also suits soffits and exterior overhangs across Canadian climates.
