Built from extruded aluminium
The body of this channel is a rigid extruded aluminum bar, 1 meter long, formed in a V so that two of its faces meet the two walls of an inside corner. That geometry is what makes it different from a flat U-channel: instead of shining straight out, the LED tape sits on the angled inner face and throws its light out at a 45° angle. The metal body keeps the strip perfectly straight over the full meter — no waves, no sagging adhesive, no dust settling directly on the circuit board — and it acts as a heat sink, drawing warmth away from the diodes so your led lighting strips run cooler.
Three types, two beam widths
The bar comes in a choice of 3 types with different shapes and angle widths, selectable in the drop-down menu on the product page. Type 3 is the regular shape. Type 1 and type 2 are the wide-angle versions and spread the LED light over a wider 90° beam, which is useful when you need to wash a whole wall or light a deep shelf rather than aim a tight accent line. Please note that the 1m Type 1 and Type 2 bars (wide-angle, rectangular and circular models) have been discontinued; for those shapes we suggest the 4-foot profile page for an equivalent, or 2m bars that you cut to the length you need.
Diffuser and light quality
A light diffuser is included. Slide it over the channel and the individual diodes disappear into one continuous, even line — the neon effect everyone is after when they install strip lighting. Full brightness is not always required, and the diffuser tames glare in places where the light source falls into your line of sight: under a kitchen cabinet you look up at, along a bar top, inside a glass display case. It also gives the installation a clean, finished look and keeps fingerprints and grease off the tape itself.

Installation and applications
Installation is straightforward: dry-fit the bar in the corner, cut it to length with a fine-tooth blade if needed, stick your LED strip onto the flat inner face, feed the wiring out the end, then clip the diffuser on and fasten the assembly. Because it is only 1 meter long, it is easy to transport and easy to work with in tight spots — closets, cabinet interiors, stair runs — and several bars can be lined up end to end for longer runs. Typical Canadian jobs include under-cabinet kitchen lighting, basement bars and home theatres, garage and workshop benches, retail shelving and display cases, office reception desks and restaurant counters. Any standard adhesive-backed LED strip lights narrow enough to sit on the inner face will work, along with your usual driver, dimmer and connectors. No spec sheet or IES file is listed for this item; if you need the exact interior width for a particular tape, measure your strip before ordering and choose the type that matches your beam requirement.
