Built as a solid linear bar, not a flexible strip
Where a flexible LED strip bends and hides, this RGB LED wall washer bar is a rigid one-metre linear fixture designed to be aimed. That rigidity matters: the beam stays straight, the colour line across the wall stays even, and the bar holds its position once installed. The 1 m format is the sweet spot for most residential and small-commercial jobs — long enough to cover a real section of wall, short enough to line up several units end to end along a longer surface, or to place single units at intervals for a rhythm of light. Slim and low-profile, it tucks neatly against a baseboard, on a ledge, inside a soffit or behind a valance so guests see the colour, not the hardware.
Where the light output comes from
The performance of this bar comes from two things working together. First, density: 120 5050 RGB LEDs packed into one metre, which is what lets the colour read as a continuous wash rather than a row of dots. Second, optics: each LED is amplified by a lens that concentrates its output into a 25-degree beam. Narrow optics keep the light from spilling sideways and losing intensity, so the beam travels — it will climb a wall up to 10 feet high and still hold its saturation. That applies across the colour range, not just to the brightest settings, which is exactly what separates a real wall washer from a generic colour strip.

Installation and aiming
Plan the aim before you plan the wiring. For a classic uplight wash, set the bar at the base of the wall and push it slightly away from the surface — a few inches of setback softens the hot spot at the bottom and lets the beam spread as it climbs. For a top-down graze that reveals texture in brick, stone or wood slat walls, mount it in a soffit or on the ceiling close to the surface. The optional mounting brackets let you tilt the bar so the beam lands where you want it instead of where gravity puts it, which is the single biggest difference between an amateur colour install and one that looks designed. Keep it indoors: this is an indoor LED lighting fixture, so basements, stairwells, retail interiors and restaurant dining rooms are its home, not exposed patios or exterior walls.
Projects it transforms
Think basement bars and home theatres where the room changes character when the lights drop; games rooms and man caves; feature walls behind a sectional or a headboard; stairwell landings that need drama more than task light. On the commercial side, this bar is a favourite for restaurant and lounge feature walls, banquet and reception halls that recolour for every event, boutique window displays, salon and studio backdrops, and small stage or DJ setups. Because it is a colour-changing RGB fixture, one installation covers every mood — warm and calm for dinner service, saturated and bold for a party — without ever changing a fixture. If you are building a full lighting scheme, run this bar as the accent layer over your general lighting and let it do the heavy lifting on atmosphere.
